A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA ORDERING CURTAIN 1701M TO BE DONE ON FOURTH
STREET IN THE CITY OIC' AZUSA.
The Board Of Trustees of the City of Azusa
do resolve as follows;
Section 1. That the street work herein des-
cribed is required by the public interest and con-
venience, and the Board of Trustees of the City of
Azusa, State of California, hereby orders the
same to be done according to specifications and
plans adopted, for said work, and under the direc-
tion and to the satisfaction of ,the Superinten-
dent of Streets of said City, to -wit;
First. That all that portion of Fourth Street
from the East line of Alameda Avenue to the wesg
line of Soldano Avenue, including all intersections
of streets and alleys, be graded and surfaced r
with cla$ and decomposed granite ,(excepting along
such portions o,f said Fourth Street and interAec-
tions as are required by law to be kept in order
or repair by any person or, company having railroad
tracks thereon and excepting such portions of
Fourth Streot that have been graded with clay and
decomposed granite, according to the specifications
herein provided and to the official line and
grade,) in accordance with the plans, profiles and
cross-cectione NO B 19 on file in the office of
the City Engineer of the said City of Azusa andiin
accordance with Special Specifications designated
Special Specifications U for the epnstruction of
graded and surfaced streets with clay and decomposed
granite on file in the office of the City Clerk of
the City of Azusa, except that such street shhll
be surfaced for the width of ten feet only along
each -side of the center line thereof instead of
the whole width of the roadway as specified in r
said specificetions.

width be constructed along the south side of the

San Gabriel Avenue to the west line of Pasadena
Avenue except along such portions of the south side
of said Street upon which a cement sidewalk five
(5) feet in width, has already been constructed
and now is to the official line and grade in accord-
ance with and where shown upon the improvement plana,
profiles and cross-sections NO B 19 and in further
accordance with special specifications designated
as Special Specificetions V for the construction of
cement sidewalks innthe City of Azusa.
Thidd. That a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in
width be constructed along the north side of the
roadway of Fourth Street from the east line pf San
Gabriel Avenue to the West line of Soldano Avenue
except along such portions of the north side of
said Street upon which a cement sidewalk five (5)
feet in width has already been constructed and now
is to the official lina dnd grade in accordance with
and where shown upon the improvement plans, profiles
and cross-sections NO B 19 and in further accordance
with special specifications designated as Special
Specifications V for thei�oonstruction of cement side-
walks in the City of Azusa.
Fourth. That a cement curb be constructed along
each line of the roadway of Fourth Street from the east
line of San Gabriel Avenue to the west line of Pasadena
Avenue except along such portions of said street upon
which a. r.ement curb has already been constructed and
now is to the official line and gralie in accordance
with and where shown upon the improvement plans, profiles
and cross-sections NO B 19 and in further accordance
with special specifications deeignated Special Specifi-
cations W for the construction of cement curbs in
the City of Azusa.

Sec. 2. That the Board of Trustees of the
City of Azusa determines that serial bonds shall be

issued to represent assessments of twenty-five
dollars (025.00) or over for the cost of said
work or improvement; said serial bonds shall
extend over a period ending nine (9) years from
and after the second day of January next succeeding
the date of said bonds, and an even annual pro-
portion of the principal sum thereof shall be
payable, by coupon. on the second day of
January every year after their date until the wh6le
is paid; and the interest shell be payable semi-
annually, by coupon, on the second days of January
and July, respectively, of each year, at the rate
of seven (7) per cent per annum on all sums
unpaid, until the whole of said principal and
interest are paid. Said bonds shall be issued in
accordance with the providions of an act of the
Legislature of the State of California,entitled,
"AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR WORK IN AND UPON STREETS,
EVENUMS, LANES, ALLEYS, COURTS, PLACES AND 81I19 -
WALKS 1VITHIN MUNICIPALITIES AND UPON PTOPERTY AND
RIGHTS OF YMYS OWNED BY MUNIr,IPALIiii,,s aND FOR
IMABLISHING AND CHANGING THE GRADES OF ANY SUCH
STREETS, AVENUES, IJINES, ALLEYS, COURTS, PLACES,
AND SIDEVALKS AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE AND
PAYMENT OF STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS TO REPRESENT
CERTAIN ASSTS^MONT-3 FOR THE COST THEREOF. AIM •PITO- 1
VIDING A METHOD FOR THE PAMNT OF SUCH BONDS".
approved April 7yh,1911, and all acts supplementary
thereto or amendatory thereof.
Section 3. The Pomotropic, a weekly news-
paper of general circulation, published and cir-
culated in said City of Azusa, is hereby designa-
ted as the newspaper in which the Notice of said
Street Work inviting sealed proposals shall be
published in the manner and form requirNd b;F, law,
a notice with specifications, inviting sealed
proposals or bids for doing said work; and said
City Clerk is hereby directed to publish for two
days in said newspaper hereby designated for that
purpose, as aforesaid, in the manner and form

required by law, a notice of said work, inviting
sealed proposals or bids for doing said work, and
referring to the specifications posted and on file.
Said notice shall require a certified check or bond,
either, as prescribed by law , and for an amount not
less than ten per cent of the aggregate of the proposal.

County of Los Angeles, State of California, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Resol-Ution was duly adopted
by the Board of 'Trustees of the City of Azusa, State of
California, and approved by the President of said Board
at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 30th day of
March,1914, and that the same wad passed by the following
