HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 3490 . 0 313 RESOLUTION NO 349, A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA %ECIARING THE RESULT OF THE SPECIAL X= TION HELD IN THE CITY OF AZUSA ON THE 3rd DAY OF MARCH, 19140 AS BROVIDED FOR IN ORDINANCE NO 152, OF THE CITY OF AZUSA. The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do resolve as follows; Sec. 1. THAT 1iIUMS0 at the special Electibon held in the City of Azusa , Los Angeles County, State of California, on the 3rd day of March,1914, Two Hundred Sixty-two (262)•votes were cast for, and One Hundred Eighteen (118) votes against -Proposition NO 1, for incurring a bonded debt in the sum of Thirty Five Thousand ($05,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of ac- quiring lands, and water rights, to develop water thereon. To Acquire rights-of-way for pipe lines and to acquire, construct and complete machinery qnd equipment for pumping plants, pipe, and pipe lines and for the repairing and remodeling of the Municipal Water System of the City of Azusa; and WHEREAS, the number of votes in favor of incurring such indebtedness was more than two-thirds (2/3) of all the votes cast at said special election; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said porposition was duly accepted and adopted by the votes of more than two thirds (2/3)of all voters at such special Election . and that the said Proposition has carried and was duly accepted by the pualified voters of this munici- pality, and that the City of Azusa is duly authorized to issue bonds in the sum of Thirty five Thousand ($35,000.00) Dollars for said prrpose. Sec. 2. THAT VHEHEAS, at the special election herein above mentioned, held on the 3rd. -day of March 19149 Two Hundred Seventy-three (273) votes were cast. fore and eighty eight (88) votes against Proposition NO2, for incurring a bonded debt in the sum of Twenty Thousand ($20.000.001 Dollars, for the purpose of 314 acquiring poles, wire, transformers, cross -arms, J electric meters, tools and any and all kinds of supplies and materials for the repairing, re- plawing and establishing and remodeling of the Municipal Electtio Lighting System of the City of Azusa; and WHEREAS, the number of votes in favor of incurring such indebtedness was more than twb- thirds (2/3) of all the votes cast at said special election; NOW9 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said proposition was duly accepted and adopted by the votes•of more than two-thirds (2/3) of all the voters voting at such special election, and that the said proposition has carried and was duly accepted by the pualified voters of this municipality, and that the City oa Azusa is duly`authorized to issue bonds in the sum of Twenty Thousand ($20,000.0$) Dollars for said purpose.
