A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF AZUSA:
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE A PORTION OF SAN GABRIEL

AVENUE, AZUSA AVENUE, ALAMEDA AVENUE, DALTON AVENUE , SOT DANO
l AVENUE AND PASADENA AVENUE IN THE CITY OF AZUSA, WITH CULVERTS,
DECLARING THE MRK OR IMPROVEMENT TO Bi. OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR
ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT AND TH..T THE EXPENSE OF SAID WCRK SHALL
BE ASSESSED UPON A DISTRICT AND DETERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE
ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE COST THEREOF.
The Board of 'Trustees of the City of Azusa do resolve
as follows:
That the public interest and convenience require and
that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City
of Azusa to order the following work done, to -wit:
itSECTION 1.
(a) That a reinforced concrete culvert with wing
walls for entrance and cutlet be constructed along the westerly
side of the roadway of San Gabriel Avenue across the intersec-
tion thereof with Ninth Street, excepting therefrom such por-
tions of said street, as are used by the track, between the
rails and for two feet on each side thereof and between the i
tracks, if there is more than one, of any person or company
having said railroad track or tracks thereon, the northerly
i
end of said culvert shall be four (4) feet northerly from and
I
j parallel with the northerly line of Ninth Street and the south-
erly end of said culvert shall be four (4) feet southerly from
and parallel with the southerly line of Ninth Street, and the
center lite of said culvert shall be on a line which is paral-
lel with and distant 18 feet easterly from the west -1
erly property line of San Gabriel Avenue, in accordance with
Improvement Plan No. "B 30", and Improvement Cross -Section No.
"E 100" and Plans Details and Cross sections No. "C 20" and

in further accordance with Special Specifications "X" for the
construction of reinforced concrete culverts in the City of
Azusa,which specifications are set forth in Resolution No. 406.
(b) That a reinforced concrete culvert with wing walls
for entrance and outlet be constructed along the easterly side
of the roadway of San Gabriel Avenue across the intersection
thereof with Ninth Street, excepting therefrom such portions of
said street as are used by the track between the rails and for
two (2) feet on each side thereof and between the tracks, if
there is more than one, of any person or company having said
railroad track or tracks thereon, the northerly end of said cul-
vert shall be parallel with and distant twelve (12) feet north-
erly from the northerly line of Ninth Street and the southerly
end of said culvert shall be parallel with and distant four (4)
feet southerly from the southerly line of Ninth Street and the
center line of said culvert shall be on a line which is parallel
with and distant ' lg, feet westerly from the easterly
property line of said San Gabriel Avenue, in accordance with
Improvement Plan No. "B 30", Improvement Cross Sections No.

28 (c) That two reinforced concrete culverts with wing

28 walls for entrance and outlet be constructed, one along the
easterly side and one along the westerly side of the roadway

of Azusa Avenue across the intersection thereof with Ninth Street

29 excepting therefrom such portions of said street as are used
30 by the trach, between the rails and for two feet on each

31 side thereof, and between the tracks if there is more than one,
32 of any person or company having said railroad track or tracks
thereon, the northerly end of each of said culverts shall be

parallel with and four (4) feet northerly from the northerly line
of Ninth Street and the southerly end of each of said culverts
shall be parallel with and four (4) feet southerly from the
4 southerly line of Ninth Street and the center line of each of

11 construction of reinforced concrete culverts in the City of
12 Azusa, which specifications are set forth in Resolution No. 406.
13 (d) That two reinforced concrete culverts with wing
14 walls for entrance and outlet be constructed, one along the
16 easterly side and one along the westerly side of the roadway

15 (g) That a reinforced concrete culvert with wing walls
16 for entrance and outlet be constructed along the westerly side
17 of the roadway of Pasadena Avenue, across the intersectio= there -

19 be parallel with and distant four (4) feet northerly from the

northerly line of Ninth Street and the southerly end of said

5 roadway of San Gabriel Avenue, the northerly end of each of

6 said culverts shall be parallel with and distant four (4) feet

7 northerly from a line which is the prolongation of the north -
g erly right-of-wa lof the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway
g .i Company (Coast Line), prolonged and extended in its usual
10 course westerly across said San Gabriel Avenue, and the south -
11 erly end of each of said culverts shall be parallel with and
12 distant four (4) feet southerly from a line which is the pro -
13 longation of the southerly right-of-way line of the Atchison,
14 Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company (Coast Line) prolonged and
15 extended in its usual course westerly* across said San Gabriel
16 Avenue, the center line of each of said culverts to be on a
17 line which is parallel with and distant thirty-three (33) feet
18 from the center line of San Gabriel Avenue,in accordance with
19 Improvement Plan No. "B 30" and Improvement Cross-sections
20 No. "E 101", and Plans, Details and Cross-sections No. "C 28)
21 and in further accordance with Special Specifications "Y" for
22 the construction of corrugated iron pipe culverts in the City
23 of Azusa, which specifications are set forth in Resolution No,
24 406.
25 (i) That a reinforced concrete culvert 64.0 feet in
26 length with wing walls for entrance on the northerly end and
27 the southerly end to connect to a reinforced concrete culvert
28 already in place, be constructed along the easterly side of the
29 roadway of Azusa Avenue, the northerly end of said culvert to

Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company (Coast Line) right-of-way,

prolonged and extended westerly across said Azusa Avenue, the

line of Azusa Avenue, in accordance with Improvement Plan No.

forced concrete culverts in the City of Azusa„which specifications
are set forth in Resolution No. 406.
(j) That two corrugated iron pipe culverts with

concrete wing walls for entrance and outlet be constructed, one
along the easterly side and one along the westerly side of the
roadway of Soldano Avenue, the northerly end of each of said
culverts shall be parallel with and distant four'(4) feet
northerly from a line which is the prolongation of the north-
erly right-of-way line of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe
Railway Company (Coast Line) prolonged and extended in its
usual course westerly across said Soldano Avenue and the
southerly end of each of said culverts shall be parallel with

with intakes and outlets be constructed, one along the easterly
side and one along the westerly side of the roadway of Dalton

(p) That a corrugated iron and cnncr6te culvert with
intakes and outlets be constructed along the easterly side of
the roadway of Soldano Avenue,across the intersection thereof
with Centre Street, the northerly end of -said culvert shall
be distant four (4) feet northerly from and parallel with the
northerly line of Centre Street and the southerly end of said
culvert shall be parallel with and distant four (4) feet south -
erly from the southerly line of Centre Street and the center
line of said culvert shall be on a line which is parallel with
and distant 17.83 feet westerly from the easterly property line
of Soldano'Avenue, in accordance with Improvement Plan No.
"B 30" and Plans, Details and Cross-sections No. "C 26; and in
further accordance with Special Specifications "Z" for the
construction of corrugated iron and concrete culverts in the
City of Azusa, which specifications are set forth in Rem lution

(q) That a reinforced concrete culvert be constructed
along the westerly side of Soldano Avenue across the intersec-
tion thereof with Centre Street, the northerly and southerly

28 opinion of the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa, of more
26 than local or ordinary public benefit,and said Board of
27 Trustees hereby declares that the district in said City of
28 Azusa to be benefited by said work or improvement, and to be
89 assessed to pay the cost and expense thereof, is hereby described

II The said Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa determines)

12 ing the date of said bonds, and an even annual proportion of the
13 I principal sum thereof shall be due and payable by coupon on the 1

second day of January of every year after their date until the
15 whole is paid, and the interest shall be paid semi- annually by
16 coupon on the second days of January and July , respectively , of

" each year , at the rate of seven (7) per cent per annumton all
le sums unpaid until the whole of said principal and interest are
19 paid.

21 of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitlddi
