RESOLUTION NO 403.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY Or
AZUSA, DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY
DEMANDS THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION
OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS.
Be it resolved and determined by the Board of True -
tees of the City of Azusa as follows;
Section 1. That the public interest and necbssity
of the City of Azusa demands the acquisition,, construe -
tion and completion by said City of Azusa of a certain
municipal improvement, to -wit;
Pipet. The acquisition by purchase, condemnation
or otherwise, of land.or lands for the purpose of devel-
oping water thereon. The acquisition bNL purchase, con-
demnation, appropriation or otherwise of water and water
rights of whatsoever nature or kind,•and whether the
same be riparian, pond, lake, surface, subterranean, per-
colating, diffused, stars, well, artesian, or whatso-
ever other nature, kind or description..
The acquisition, construction and completion of
all the necessary machinery and equipment for the devel-
opement of water upon said land or lands, or from each,
any or all of said water rights, and the construction
and completion of wells and other means or methods of
producing or procuring water from each, any qnd all of
the above named sources, and the acquisition, construc-
tion and completion of all necessary machinery and
equipment for the operation of any or all of such means
or methods.
The acquisition b$ purchase, condenuiation or
otherwise of rights-of-way for pipe lines, aqueducts,
ditches, tunnels, or other means which may be necessary
or convenient in conveying such water from its source
of production to such point or points of distribution
as said City of Azusa may desire.
The purchase and construction of pipe, pipes,
tunnels, pipelines, acqueducte, ditches, and other
means for the purpose of conveying such water from its
source of production to such point or poi'•nts of

distribution as said City of Azusa may desire.
Sec. 2. That said improvement is necessary and con--
venient to carry out the objects, purposes and powers of
said City and the estimated cost of said municipal improve-
ment is Thirty-five Thoisand (0350000.00) Dollars, and that
such cost is and will be too great to be paid out of the
ordinary annual income and revenue of said City of Azusa.
Seo. 3. That the public interest and necessity of the
City of Azusa demands the acquiaition, construction and
completion by said City of a certain municipal improvement
,to -wit;
Second. Thetaoquisition by purchase, condemnation or
otherwise of poles, wire#, transformers, cross -arms, electric
meters; tools, and anal and all kinds of supplies, and materials
necessary for the acquisition, building and completion of an
eleettie distributing system in the City of Azusa.
Sec. 4. That said improvement is necessary and convenient
to carry out the objects, pirposes and powers of said City
and the estimated cost of said Municipal improvement is
Twenty Thousand ($20,000.00) Dollars, and that such cost
is and will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary
annual income and revenue of said City of Azusa.
Sec.5. The City Clerk of the City of Azusa shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution by a vote of
two-thirds of all the members of the Board of 'trustees of the
City of Azusa and its approval by the President of said Board,
and thereupon shall cause the same to be published once in
the "Pomotropie",a weekly newspaper published and circulated
in said City of Azusa, and hereby designated for that purpose,

Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa is five And
that the foregoing Resolution was duly passed and
adopted by a vote of two-thirds of its members and
approved by the President of the said Board at a
regular meeting thereof held September 2let,1914, and
that it was passed by the following vote;
Ayes; Barnes, Thompdon, Petty, Clark, Collins.
Noes; None.
Absent; None.
