HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2093RESOLUTION NO. 2093 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM EVERETT J. CALVERT AND'IVA L. CALVERT, HUSBAND AND WIFE, AND. CHARLES A. IMLAH, A SINGLE MAN, DATED APRIL 10, 1947 AND AUTHORIZING THE SAME TO BE RECORDED. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, a written Quit Claim Deed dated April 10, 1947 has been executed by Everett J. Calvert and Iva L. Calvert, husband and wife, and Charles A. Imlah, a single man, and delivered unto the City of Azusa, a municipal cor- poration and body politic, wherein the parties of the first part remise, release and quit claim unto the party of the second part all their rights or interests in that certain piece.or parcel of land situated and being in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as follows, to -wit: That,portion of the easterly one-half of Angeleno Avenue heretofore vacated by the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, California, on December 23, 1891, as shown in County Records D-12-162, described as beginning at the northwest corner of Block 70, of Map of Azusa as recorded in Miscellaneous Records, Book 15, Pages 93 to 96, both inclusive, Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence southerly along the westerly line of said Block 70 and along the southerly prolongation thereof to a point 30 feet southerly of the southerly line of said Block 70; thence westerly along a line 30 feet southerly of and parallel with the aforesaid southerly line of Block 70, 40 feet to the center line of the aforesaid vacated portion of Angeleno Avenue; thence northerly along the aforesaid center line of the vacated portion of Angeleno Avenue, which line is 40 feet westerly of and parallel with the aforesaid westerly line of Block 70, to the southerly line of Third Street, thence easterly along the said southerly line of Third Street, 40 feet to the place of beginning. The above described piece or parcel of land is granted for the purpose of opening and extending Angeleno Avenue in the City of'Azusa, and it is mutually agreed that the land hereby conveyed shall be used by the grantee for public street purposes only., THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the aforesaid written suit Claim Deed, dated as aforesaid to the City of Azusa, be and the same is hereby accepted, ratified and confirmed by the City of Azusa. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that same be and the same is.hereby authorized by said City of Azusa and the City* Council thereof, its legislative body, and directed to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Los -Angeles County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the officers of the City of Azusa be, and the same are hereby authorized and directed to do all things requisite and proper in order to carry out the terms of said Quit Claim Deed and.of this Resolution. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and certify to the passage and adoption.thereof ATTEST: ae A. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Coun- cil of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of said Council of said City held in the regular Council Chambers of said City Council in said City June 23, 1947, and that the same was passed by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Nasser, Memmesheimer, Lamm.
