HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2060RESOLUTION NO. 2060 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALUSA LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING JOHN CALVIN MOSLEY PATROLMAN AND FIXING HIS SALARY. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: BE IT RESOLVED that effective'March 1, 1947 and subject to the provisions of this Resolution and to the further action of the City Council at any time, John Calvin Mosley be and he is hereby appointed Patrolman in the Police Department and his salary fixed at $205.00 per month for March, April, May, 1947, $210.00 for June, July, August, 1947 and $215.00 thereafter. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said employee shall hold his employment at the pleasure of the City Council of the City of Azusa. Upon termination of any appointment hereunder whether by reason of death,action of Council in declaring the office, appointment or employment vacant, declaring the termination thereof or for or by any other reason whatsoever whether herein specifically enumerated or not, such employee shall be paid to the date of such termination only and not for any unexpired portion of the thencalendar month, such payment for that month to be at a claendar month to and including the date of such termination in that month, and shall be in the sameproportion of the monthly salary of said employee as the proportion which the number of days served by the employee in that month bear to thirty days. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT all provisions of any prior resolutions or orders of the City Council, inconsistent with or contrary to the provisions of this resoltion, and only such inconsistent or contrary provisions, shall be and the same are hereby rescinded and repealed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this resolution and the City Clerk shall attest same and certify to the passage andadoption thereof.
