HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2059-- 0 RESOLUTION NO 2059 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, PROTESTING THE USE OF THE STATE NARCOTIC HOSPITAL PROPERTY AT SPADRA CALIFORAIIA FOR ANY PURPOSE., OTHER ' KiF AS A SHE FOR MT. SAN ANTONIO JUNIOR COLLEGE. The City Council of the city of Azusa does resolve as WFEREAS rt. San Antonio Junior College has recently been brought into being, in response to an urgent need for an additional junior college in San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County, California, and - follows:- .- [WHEREAS a most desirable site for said college is on the property formerly used by the State Narcotic Hospital in Spadra, Los Angeles County, California, and '•7H7REAS the use of said property as a site for said junior college would be most beneficial to said college and said San Gabriel Valley, and a credit to the State of California, and WHEREAS the use of said Narcotic Hospital site for a State Prison or Reform School or other State activity viould be undesirable: NOW THEREFORE BE I`_' R^SOLVED that the City Council of the city of Azusa shall and the same does hereby protest the use of said Narcotic Rospital property for any purpose other than by ht. San Antonio Junior College, and do earnestly recommend said site for the use of said college. BE IT FURTHER resolution and the City the passage and adoption ATTEST: teu a e A.
