RESOLUTION OF TIM CITY COUNCIL OF THE -CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING AND.INSTRUCTINGTHE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF -SAID CITY TO
EXECUTE, AGREEMENT OF SAID CITY AND THE _BOARD- OF SUPERVISORS, LOS
ANGELES COUNTY, FOR.PURCHASE.OF_THE.STATE-tS.INTEREST IN„TAX DEEDED
PROPERTY.
THAT WHEREAS, there are situated in the City of Azusa two
parcels of real property which have been non -revenue producing for
many years, and for at least six (6) years; and
WHEREAS, said parcels of real property have been separately
deaded'to the city of azusa for non-payment of taxes; and
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the City Council, it would be
to the'besi'interest of the City and all taxing agencies that
the City of Azusa enter into an agreement with the Board of
Supervisors of Los Angeles County to purchase the S.tatels title
to said pa reels of property;
NON, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa does
resolve, declare and determine, as follows;
SECTION 1; That a copy of said "Agreement for the Purchase by
the City of Azusa, California of the State's title to Certain Lands
Within said City as provided by Division 1, Part 6, Chapter 8,
Articles 1 and 2, of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of
California", presented to this Council at this meeting, beiplaced
on file in the office of the City Clerk for identification and
reference.
SECTION 2; That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed
to subscribe the name of the City of Azusa to said "Agreement
for the Purchase by the City of Azusa, California, of the State's Title
to Certain Lands Within said City as Provided by Division 1, Part 61
Chapter 8, Articles 1 and 2, of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the
State of Caiifornia", with the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County
subject to the approval of the State Controller of the State of
California, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
attest the same and to affix thereon the seal of the City of Azusa;
said agreement to be executed in septuplicate.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution, shall enter the same
among the original resolutions of said City, shall make a minute
of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings
of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting
at which the same is passed and adopted, shall attach a certified
copy of this resolution to the seven (7) executed Agreements and shall
forward said seven (7) executed Agreements, wroth said certified
copies of this resolution attached to each of said Agreements, to
John F. Bender, Special City Attorney,

A G R E E M E N T
AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE BY THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, OF THE
STATEIS TITLE TO CERTAIN LANDS WITHIN SAID CITY AS PROVIDED BY
DIVISION'1, PART 60 CHAPTER 8, ARTICLES 1 AND 20 OF THE REVENUE
AND TAXATION CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
THIS AGREEMENT, made on the day of , 1947,
by and between the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles,.
State of California, and the City of Azusa, a. municipality of the
State of California, subject to the approval of the State Controller
of the State of California.
W I T N E 3 SETH:
THAT.WIJEREAS, there are situated in the City of Azusa certain
parcels of real property which have been non -revenue producing
for many years, and in all instances for six (6) years or more and
which are all tax deeded to the State of California for delinquent
taxes; and which the City desires to acquire for resale; and
WHEREAS,.each of said parcels has been separately deeded to
said City for non-payment of city taxes or hes been sold for taxes
for two or more years;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby mutually agreed, as follows:
1. That as .provided by the provisions of the Revenue and
Taxation Coda, the cost of giving the notice of this agreement shall
be paid by the City of Azusa.
2. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles
agrees to sell to.the City of Azusa each of the pareels of property
hereinafter set out in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part
hereof, which shall not have been redeemed as'provided in the Revenue
and Taxation Code, for the sum set out after each of said parcels
of property and called ""County Selling Price", and that the City of
Azusa agrees topurchase each of said parcels of property within
thirty (30) days after this agreement becomes effective.
3. That prior to the resale of the property ecquired.pursuant
to this agreement, the City of Azusa will publish a notice of the
proposed sale on each individual parcel once a week for three (3)
consecutive weeks in a local newspaper.

4. That if prior" or subsequent to the execution of this
Agreement it is determined by the County of Los Angeles that all or
any portion of the parcels included in said agreement are needed to
conform with the blaster Plan of Highways of Los Angeles County or
any other public use by said County or City of Azusa, said City
will reserve and dedicate such property or interest therein for said
public use prior to resale.
IN WITNESS VIHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused their
respective names, to be hereto subscribed and their respective seals
to be affixed by their officers thereunto duly authorized.
