FORIroI OF RESOLUTION TO BE INSERTED IN MINUTE BOOK
RESOLVED, that a copy of that certain notice entitled
"Notice No. Nine of Intention to Sell City of Azusa Owned Real
Property and Inviting Bids or Offers Therefor.", dated the
17 day of November , 1947, be placed on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said City for the purpose of identification
and reference; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby
approves said form of notice and does hereby invite bids or offers
for the real properties therein described, as therein contemplated;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby elects
to sell said properties as described in said notice by private
sale and on the terms and conditions as set forth in said notice;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be, and she is
hereby authorized to instruct to cause said notice to be published
in the official newspaper of said City to -wit: Azusa Herald
and Pomotropic, in the time, form and manner required by law;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESORTED, that the said "Notice No. Nine of
Intention to Sell City of Azusa Owned Real Property and Inviting
Bids or Offers Therefor.", which is on file as aforementioned and
open to public inspection is hereby referred to and by this
reference expressly incorporated herein and made a part hereof.
NOTICE NO. NINE OF INTENTION TO SELL CITY OF
AZUSA OWNED REAL PROPERTY AND INVITING BIDS
OR OFFERS THEREFOR.

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Azusa..
California, did heretofore, pursuant to its ordinances, duly
and regularly adopted, acquire tax deeds because of non-payment
of City taxes and assessments duly and regularly levied to each
and all of the following described parcels of real property:
Lots 1 to 13, both inclusive, Lots 15 to 48,
both inclusive, of Block 1; Lots 1 to 41, both
inclusive, Block 2; Lots 1 to 46, both inclusive,
'Block 3; Lots 1 to 22, both inclusive, Lots 25
to 44, both inclusive, Block 4; Lots 1 to 21, both
inclusive, Lots 23 to 33, both inclusive, Block 5;
Lots 2 to 29, both inclusive, Lots 34 to 38, both
inclusive, Block 6; Lots 1 to 28, both inclusive,
Lots 30, 34 and 35, Block 7; Lots 1 to 20, both
inclusive, Lots 22.to 39, both inclusive, Block 8;
Lots 1 to 14, both inclusive, Lots 17 to 23, both
inclusive, Block 9; Lots 1, 4 and 5. Lots 7 to 15,

102, Pages 78 to 60 of Maps, Records of Los Angeles
County.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the, City of Azusa
has heretofore purchased by tax deed from the State of California
the Staters interest in and to each and all of the hereinafter
described parcels of real property:
Lots 1 to 3, both inclusive, Lots 5 to 13, both
inclusive, and Lots 15 to 48, both inclusive, of
Block 1; Lots 10 to 22, both inclusive, and Lots
24 to 41, both inclusive, of Block 2; Lots 1 to 46,
both inclusive, of Block 3; Lots 1 to 22, both
inclusive, and Lots 25 to 44, both inclusive, of
Block 4; Lots 1 to 15, both inclusive, Lots 18 to 21,
both inclusive, and Lots 23 to 33, both inclusive,
of Block 5; Lots 2 to 29, both inclusive, and Lots
34 to 38, both inclusive, of Block 6; Lots 1 to 19,
both inclusive, and Lots 22 to 30, both inclusive,
of Block 7; Lots 1 to 20, both inclusive, and Lots
22 to 39; both inclusive, of Block 8; Lots 1 to 14,
both inclusive, and Lots 17 to 23, both inclusive,
of Block 9; Lots 19 42 51 Lots 7 to 14, both inclusive,

of Block 20, in Tract No. 8507, as per Book 102, Pages
78 to 80 -of Maps Records of Los Angeles County.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the City of Azusa
intends to sell at private sale, and to convey to the successful
bidder, by quitclaim deed only and without guaranty of title,
all of the hereinabove described parcels of real property, it
being specifically called to the attention of all prospective bidders
that the City has tax deed purchased from the State of California
to only those parcels hereinabove described, and has tax deeds
issued to itself for non-payment of its own taxes for only those
parcels above described, and that the City does not have both
tax deeds to all of said parcels of property. Therefore, all
prospective bidders should carefully check the above list so they
will be fully advised as to the exact interest of .the City in and
to each of said parcels of propertyp each and all prospective
bidders being further notified and advised that the quitclaim deed
which the City of Azusa will execute and deliver to the successful
bidder will convey to said successful bidder only the right, title,
and interest that the City of Azusa has in or to such properties
by virtue of the tax deeds which the City has acquired thereto.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that said properties are
to be sold by the City of Azusa as above set"forth and conveyed
subject to all conditions, covenants, reservations, restrictions,
rights, rights of way, matters of record and all special assessment
liens that may be levied against the property; and all bidders
are cautioned to examine all City and County records pertaining to
said parcels of real property so that they may be fully informed

as to conditions of title, conditions, reservations, restrictions,
rights, rights of way, matters of record, and all special assess-
ments, including street improvement bonds, if any, checking the
same.
ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the City
Council deems that it would be to the best interest of the City
that said properties not be sold separately, but that the
Council will only consider bids for all of said properties as
a bulk sale, and that the minimum bid that the Council will consider
for all of said properties is the sum of $81,000.00.
All bids or offers must be in writing and will be received
at the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall of said City,
in said City,.and.will thereupon be filed in her office.
Envelopes containing bids should be sealed and plainly
marked on the outside thereof "Bid on Real Property Under Notice
of Intention No. Nine". Bids must be for cash. Any sale made
hereunder will be made subject to all the provisions of the
ordinances of the City Azusa now in effect or which may hereafter
become effective prior to and including the date of said sale.
A certified or cashierts check for a sum of at least
$31,000.00, payable to the City of Azusa,or order, must accompany
the said bid or offer.
Successful bidder must pay the full amount of the bid
within thirty days of the acceptance of said bid. If such successful
bidder fails to pay the full -balance due within said thirty -day
period, the City, at the option of the City Council, shall be
relieved of its obligation in respect thereto, and the initial
payment accompanying the bid shall be forfeited to the City as full
and liquidated damages, and the City shall be free and without
liability to said successful bidder, to sell said property to any
other purchaser.
While bids or offers under the provisions hereof may be
filed at any time after the date of the publication of this
notice of intention to sell, yet the Council hereby specifically
notifies. all bidders that under this particular notice of intention

to sell, the Council will not consider an opening bid unless
said bid is sealed and presented to the Council in writing, all
as hereinbefore provided. At the time the written offer is opened
and considered by the Council, the Clerk, or John F. Bender,
Special City Attorney, will call for oral bids. Bidders are,
therefore, cautioned to be present at the Council meetings
at the time written offers to purchase property are opened and
considered by the Council. The Council reserves the right to
accept any bid or to reject all bids. It is provided, however,
that in the event no bids are received at said first Council meeting,
or if all bids so received at said first Council meeting are
rejected, sealed bids may thereafter be filed as heretofore provided
for consideration and action at the next succeeding or any
subsequent Council meeting as in the first instance.
All bidders are notified to specifically state in their
bids the name, or names, of the person, or persons, to be named
grantee in the deed to be issued and the manner in which title
is to be vested. If the bid fails to contain such instructions,
the property will be conveyed by the City to the successful bidder
as named in the bid.
All bidders are notified that the Council will not
consider any bids of the real property described herein until
twenty-one days from and after the date of the first publication
of this notice.
For any further information, bidders are referred to and
may see the City Clerk at her office in said City Hall.
This notice is given and published by order of the City
Council of the City of Azusa, California, and is dated the 2,7 --
