RESOLUTION NO.
2150
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA REQUESTING PERMISSION
OF THE COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS OF
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA TO
DISCHARGE SANITARY AND BREWERY WASTES
FROM THE PROPOSED PLANT OF THE GENERAL
BREWING CORPORATION WITHIN THE CITY OF
AZUSA INTO THE SYSTEM OF TRUNK SEWERS
OF SAID SANITATION DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS, the General Brewing Corporation proposes to
construct a plant within the City of Azusa for the manufacture
of beer; and
WHEREAS, the estimated quantities and character of
such wastes as furnished to the City of Azusa by Holmes &
Harver, by Frank E. Alderman, Chief Sanitary Engineer,
Engineers for the General Brewing Corporation are as given
in the Table of Wastes hereto attached and made a part
hereof; and
WHEREAS, the City of Azusa does not have adequate
facilities at its present sewage treatment plant to handle
the quantity and character of the wastes which will be
discharged from said plant,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Sanitation
Districts of Los Angeles County be requested to furnish the
City of Azusa with full and complete information on the
provisions which would be contained in a contract and agreement
entered into between the said Sanitation Districts and the City
of Azusa, provided application be made to said Sanitation
Districts of Los Angeles County for permission to discharge
sanitary and brewery wastes from the proposed plant of the
General Brewing Corporation into the trunk sewers of said
Sanitation Districts and provided that permission to do so
is granted; that the said District also be requested to furnish
to the City the location where the aforesaid wastes from the
City would be discharged into the trunk sewer of said Sanitation
Districts; the initial cost thereof; the charges for the disposal
of said wastes; and any other information which may be necessary
and required to enable the City of Azusa to determine in advance
the probable costs and expenses, time and manner of payments, and
the rules, regulations and conditions under which the City of
Azusa would be permitted to discharge the aforesaid wastes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event the City of
Azusa can comply with the requirements for permission to discharge
said sewage into the lines of the County Sanitation Districts,
that then an application be filed with said Sanitation
Districts requesting permission to discharge sanitary and
brewery wastes from the -proposed plant of said General Brewing
Corporation into the system of trunk sewers of said Sanitation
Districts.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified
copy of this Resolution to Mr. A. M. Rawn, Chief Engineer and
General Manager, County Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles
County, 1206 Maple Avenue, Room 330, Los Angeles 15, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and certify
to the passage and adoption thereof.

Los Angeles County, California, do hereby certify that the
foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of
said City Council held in the regular Council Chambers
of said City Council in said City on November 3, 1947, and
that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote of
the Council:
AYES: NASSER, JUMPER, MFMMESHEIMER, MALONE, LAMM.
NOES: NONE.
ASSENT: NONE.
I do further certify that the said attached is a true
and correct copy of said Resolution No. 2150 , passed and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at said
regular meeting held November 3, 1947.
