HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2146f RESOLUTION NO. 2146 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA GRAITTING AN EXCEPTION AND. VARIANCE UNDER SECTION 16 OF ORDINANCE NO. 342 OF THE CITY OF AZUSA. WHEREAS, Assets Reconstruction Corporation, Ltd. has heretofore filed a verified petition with the City Planning Commission in which it prays that it be granted an Exception and Variance under Section 16 of Ordinance No. 342 of the City of Azusa on the lands which it owns in Zone R-1; and WHEREAS the City Planning Commission after due consideration and hearing has recommended to the City Council that such exceptions or variances be granted and such recommendation has been filed with the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa has found and does hereby find, determine and declare that no further notice of the filing of said petition or of the hearing Is necessary or required, and any further notice is hereby dispensed with; and WHEREAS, said Exception and Variance is hereby found and determined necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of the substantial rights of the petitioner ;and is not materially detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to the property or improvements of the zone or district in which said property lies, or injurious to the property or improvements in other zones or districts. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Azusa as follows; that an exception be and the same is hereby granted under Section 16 of Ordinance No. 342 of said City changing the premises hereinafter described and the use thereof from Zone R-1 to Zone P:1-2. The property to which said Exception applies is described as follows; That portion of Lot 12, Sub. 2, Azusa Land and 'later Co., beginning at a point 100 feet Westerly from Motor Avenue, Tract 8507, and Southerly from the Northerly line of said Lot 12, 50 feet, South 815.36 ft., Thence Westerly to Westerly limits of said City; thence Northerly 813.77 ft.,; thence Easterly some 948.41 ft., to point of beginning; and, That portion of Lot 11, Sub. 2, Azusa Land and Water Co., beginning at a point 100 feet '.'Westerly from Motor Avenue, in Tract 8507, and in the Northerly line of Dalton Road, 1EJesterly, to land owned by United States Government; thence North- easterly 848.40 ft.; thence Easterly to point of beginning. - 1 - BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Hayor shall sign this resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and certify to the passage and adoption thereof. ATTEST: Azusa. Passed, approved and adopted this 20th day of October, 1947. - 2 - I, Eae A. Hynes, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, Los Angeles County, California, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of said City Council held in the regular Council Chambers of said City Council in said City on October 20, 1947, and that the same was passed and adopted by the folloining vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Nasser, Jumper, Memmesheimer, Malone, Lamm NOES: None ABSENT; None I do further certify that the said attached is a true and correct copy of said Resolution No. 2146 passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at said regular meeting held October 20, 1947.
