RESOLUTION N0. 2129
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING AN EXCEPTION
AIM VARIANCE UNDER SECTION 16 OF
ORDINANCE N0. 3$2 AND APPLIC-43LE TO
LOTS 2092 210 TRACT 10660 IN SAID CITY
OF AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS J. Roy McCreight and Dennie Lerner hicCreirght
are the owners of the following lands, to -wit, Lots 209 and
210 in Tract 10660 in the City of Azusa, California; and
WHEREAS a petition for exception and variance has
been duly filed praying for an exception and variance as to
the foregoing property changing the use thereof from Zone R-1
to a limited use under Zone C-3; and
WHEREAS said petitioners have represented to the
Planning Commission of the City of Azusa and to the City
Council of the City of Azusa that they desire only to
erect on said premises a small office and storeroom to use in
connection with a nursery business now and heretofore operated
thereon, the granting of which petition has been recommended
to the City Council by the City Planning Commission of said
City in accordance with the terms of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS the City Council of the said City of Azusa
has found and does hereby find, determine and declare that no
further notice of filing said petition or of hearing thereof
Is necessarily required; and
WHEREAS said exception and variance is hereby found
and determined to be necessary for the preservation and
enjoyment of the substantial rights of the petitioners and is
not detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to the property
or improvements in the section of said city in which the above
property is located;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that an exception and
variance be and is hereby ordered and made under Section 16 of

Ordinance No. 342 of said City, permitting the erection, use,
operation and maintenance on the above described premises by
said J. Roy McCreight and Dennie Lerner McCreight of a small
office and storeroom building on the a bDve described premises;
provided however, that the uses permitted under the terms of
this resolution are limited and confined to the erection of
such office and storeroom building and is not a permit or
variance to use said premises or any Dart thereof for any
use set forth in Zone 0-3 except the use to which said property
has heretofore been applied with the addition of such office
and storeroom.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 14ayor shall sign
this Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest to the same
and certify to the adoption thereof.

I, P.Q. A. Hynes, City Clerk of the City of Azusa,
Los Angeles County, California, do hereby certify that the
foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of
said City Council held in the regular Council Chambers of
said City Council in said City on the 15th day of September,
1947, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following
vote of the Council:
AYES: NASSER, JUMPER, MEMMESHEIMER, MALONE, LAMM.
NOES: NONE.
