RESOLUTION N0. 2109
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING AN EXCEPTION OR
VARIANCE UNDER SECTION 16 OF ORDINANCE
N0. 342 IN FAVOR OF ANNETTE DURRELL
SPRAGUE, L. DURRELL HUGHES AND BERNICE
DURRELL APPLICABLE TO A PORTION OF LOTS
86 AND 87 OF SUBDIVISION NO. TWO, AZUSA
LAND AND WA'T'ER COMPANY IN THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
SUBJECT HOWEVER TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS
AND RESERVATIONS.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, Annette Durrell Sprague, L. Durrell Hughes and
Bernice Durrell owners of Lot 86 and the Westerly 24.65 feet of
Lot 87 of Subdivision No. Two, Azusa Land and Water Company in
the City of Azusa Los Angeles, County, California as per Map
recorded in Book �3 Page 94 of Miscellaneous Records in the office
of the Recorder of said County, excepting therefrom the South
315 feet of the Westerly 70 feet of said Lot 86 have made
verified application to the City Planning Commission and the
City Council requesting an exception or variance under Section
16 of Ordinance No. 342 of the City of Azusa known as the Zoning
Ordinance, so as to permit the use of said premises for any use
permitted and allowed in Zone C-2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Azusa; and
WHEREAS, there is attached to said petition a drawing
showing the general character and type for which said premises
are to be put in the event the application for variance is
granted; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has recommended
that.tne petition of the petitioners be granted, subject to
certain conditions set forth in the report of the Planning
Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED tnat the aforesaid
application for exception or variance be and the same is hereby
granted and that an exception or variance be and the same is hereby
made in favor of Annette Durrell Sprague, L. Durrell Hughes and
Bernice Durrell or their successors in interest or title of the
afore described property, such exception or variance is subject
however to the following conditions and terms, to -wit:

1. All improvements and uses as indicated on
Exhibit "A" attached to the petition shall in
a general way comply with the plan as set forth
in said Exhibit "A".
2. That there shall always be maintained on the
above described premises reasonable parking space
so that traffic on the main highway fronting on
said premises be not interferred with.
3. That easements for any and all necessary
utilities such as water and light be granted the
City without charge and that such easements as
may be necessary shall be designated and approved
be the City Engineer.
4. That a substantial violation of any of the
terms of this resolution shall be cause for
cancelling this variance upon notice of at least
ten days and after hearing thereon.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of said City shall
sign this resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same
and certify to the passage and adoption thereof.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City
of Azusa at a regular meeting of said Council of said City
held in the regular Council Chambers of said City Council
In said City August 4th, 19+7 and that the same was passed
by the following vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Jumper, Memmesheimer, Lamm
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: Nasser, Malone
