A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF.THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES
COUNTY, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZ_NG AN
EXCEPTION AND VARIANCE UNDER
SECTION 16 OF ORDIDAINTCE NO. 342 AND
APPLICABLE TO THE WEST 55 FEET OF
LOT 2 IN BLOCK 12 OF AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS Ora E. Bowman and/or George C. Bowman is/are
the owner/owners of
Lots 1 and 2 in Block 12 of Azusa in the
City of Azusa., County of Los Angeles,
State of California, as per Map recorded
In Book 15 at Page 93 P.Ziscellaneous
Records in the office of the County
Recorder of said County, and
WHEREAS a petition for exception and variance has been
duly gilb d., praying for an exception and variance as to afore-
said property changing the use thereof to the uses prescribed
for Zone M-1 - Light Manufacturing District, as the said uses
are set forth in Ordinance No. 342 of the City of Azusa and in
the amendments thereof, the granting of which petition has been
recommended to the City Council by the City Planning Commission
of said City in accordance with the terms of this Resolution,
and
WHEREAS the City Council of said City of Azusa has
found and does hereby find, determine and declare that no
further notice of the filing of said petition or of the hearing
thereof is necessary or -required, such further notice being
hereby dispensed with, and
WHEREAS said exception and variance is/are hereby found
and determined necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of
the substantial rights of the petitioners and is/or not materially
detrimental to the public welfare or injuries to the property
or improvements in the zone or district in which said property
lies, or injurious to the property or improvements in other
zones or districts:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that an exception and
variance be and the same is/are hereby ordered and made
under Section 16 of Ordinance No. 342 of said City, permitting
and directing the location, erection, use, operation and
maintenance on and in the west 55 feet of Lot 2 of said property,
by Ora E. Bowman and/or George C. Bowman, only, of any building
structure or improvement prescribed in Ordinance No. 342 of
said City as being permitted and required in Zone M-1 - Light
Manufacturing District, provided however that the uses permitted
under the terms of this Resolution shall be lim'±ed and
confined to a machine or repair shop, that said use shall not
result in the making of noises or the omitting of smoke or
odors or result in any radio reception interference, and shall
not be construed or held to authorize or permit the location,
erection, use, operation and maintenance of any building,
structure or improvement or the carrying on of any activity
in or on said property, which is or may be detrimental to the
health, peace or welfare of the City of Azusa or of any of
its inhabitants.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign
this resolution and the City Clerk attest same and certify to
the pasaage and adoption thereof.

Los Angeles County, California, do hereby certify that the
foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of
said City Council held in the regular Council Chambers of
said City Council in said City on November 4, 1946, and that
the same was passed and adopted by the following vote of the
Council:
AYES: Councilmen Nasser, Jumper, Malone,
Memmesheimer and Lamm.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.

is a true and correct copy of said Resolution No. 2046
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa
at said regular meeting held November 4, 1946.
