A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA,.LOS ANGELES COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING AN EXCEPTION
OR VARIANCE UNDER SECTION 16 OF
ORDINANCE 342 IN FAVOR OF AZUSA ROCK
& SAND'CO, A CORPORATION, ITS SUCCESSORS
AND ASSIGNS.

The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS the -Azusa Rock & Sand Co, a corporation,
has made verified application. to the City Planning Commission
of the City of Azusa, requesting an exception or variance
under Section 16 of Ordinance 342.of the City of Azusa known
as the "Zoning Ordinance", so as to permit the property in
said petition described to be used for the purposes set
forth in said Ordinance 342 as Zone &2 General Manufacturing
District; and
WHEREAS said.Azusa Rock & Sand Co, a corporation,
was engaged in,operating a rock and sand industry at its
present location prior to the enactment of Ordinance 342:
and
WHEREAS the property herein and in said petition
described is to be used by said company only in connection
with'the plant that has been established prior to the
enactment of said Ordinance and that no additional rock
plant is to be placed or erected upon the land for which an
exception is requested; and
WHEREAS the City Planning Commission has recommended
to the City Council -that the petition of the Azusa Rock &
Sand Co be granted.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Azusa that the aforesaid application of said
Azusa Rock & Sand Co, .a corporation, for exception or variance
be and the same is hereby granted and that an exception or
variance be and the same is hereby made in favor of Azusa Rock
& Sand Co, its successors and assigns so as to permit the
property described in said petition and hereinafter described
to be used for the manufacturing of rock, sand and gravel in
connection with the rock plant established on the property
adjoining the herein described property, and further to permit
said property to be used for all purposes as provided in Zone
M-2 of Ordinance 342.''That the property for which Variance is
granted is desortbed as follows:
Lot 28 Subdivision No. 2 Azusa Land and
Water -Company, except the.Southeast 5
acres of said Lot 28.
BE IT RESOLVED that the %yor of the City of Azusa
shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest
the same and certify to the adoption thereof.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of
the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of said Council
