A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
THE RESULT OF THE OFFICIAL COUNT AND CANVASS OF
THE VOTERS AT THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
.HELD IN SAID CITY ON APRIL 9, 1946.-
The
946.
The City Council.of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS a General Municipal Election was held and
conducted in the City of Azusa, Los Angeles County, State
of California, on.Tuesday, the 9th day of April, 1946 as
required by law, and
WHEREAS it appears that Notice of said Election was
duly and legally given and that there were two voting
Precincts established for said Election consisting of
Consolidation of regular City Precincts for holding State
and County Elections :as -the same were and are established
by the Board of Supervisors of.Los Angeles County, California;
that election officials 9vere appointed and electionsupplies
furnished.and that in all respects said election was held
and conducted .and the returns thereof made and declared in
time, form.and manner as required by the General Laws of
the State -of California governing elections in cities of
the fifth and sixth classes; and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Azusa met at
the Council Chambers of.sa-id 'Council on Tuesday the 16th
day of April, 1946, to canvass the returns of said election
and install the newly elected officers. Whereupon'the said
Council found that the number of votes cast,, the names of the
_persons voted for, the result of said election and other
matters required by law,

to be as hereinafter stated.
NOW, THrREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND DECLARED
as follows:
That said regular Municipal Election was held and
conducted in the City of Azusa, California, on Tuesday the
9th day of April, 1946, in the time, form and manner as re-
quired by law.
That there were two voting precincts established for
the ,purpose of holding said election consisting of a con-
solidation of the regular Election Precincts established for
holding General State and County Elections.
That the whole number of votes cast in said City of
Azusa at said election was 865.
That the names.of the persons voted for, the offices
for which they were voted, and the number of votes which were
received in the entire City of Azusa are es follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND'DETERMINED that at
said General Municipal Election, Raymond J. Lamm was elected
to the.office of Member of the City Council of the City of
Azusa, California,,for the full term of four years; also
`
that Walter Malone was elected to the office of Member of
the City Council of the City of Azusa, California, for the
full term of four years; also that Leo Chas. Nasser was
elected to the office of Member of -the City Council of the
City of Azusa, California, for the. full term.of four years;st,,,
that proposition No. l oarried'with a majority vote;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall
Immediately make and deliver to each. -of said persons so
elected s Certificate of Election signed by her and duly
authenticated; that she shall.also impose, or have imposed,
-the constitutional oath of ,office upon said persons so
elected.as_Members of .the City Council and shall have them
subscribe thereto and file the same in her office; thereupon,
each and all of said persons so elected -to said respective
.offices shall be inducted in 'said respective office to which
they have been elected.

Passed, approved and adopted
this 16th day of April, 1946
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution
was regularly adopted by the City Council of the. City of
Azusa at a regular adjourned meeting of said Council
held in the regular Council Chambers of said City Council
In said City on April 16th,. 1946, and that the same was
passed by the following vote of the Council:
