RESOLUTION NO. 1930
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
.CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, GRANTING AN EXCEPTION AND
VARIANCE AS tO 'THE SOUTHEAST TNN ACRES
iPTN LOT No. 46 SUBDIVISION NO. 2 AZUSA
LANA AND '"LATER COMPANY.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS a verified petition
variance has been duly filed witb the
praying for an exception and variance
Zone M-2 use under Ordinance No. 342
acres in Lot No. 46, Subdivision No.
Company, described as follows:
for exception and
City Planning Commission
from a zone R-1 to a
as to the Southeast two

Commencing at the Southeast corner of said
Lot No. 46; thence northerly 330 feet; thence
westerly 264 feet, thence southerly 330 feet
to the south line of said Lot; thence easterly
along said south line 264 feet to the plane of
beginning, and
WHEREAS the granting of said petition has been
recommended to the City Council by the Citr Planning Commission
with the reservation that said variance be granted for the
purpose of tile manufacture only and when said mamafacture
ceases the above described acreage revert to the original
Zone R-1.
WHEREAS said City Council. find and determines that
no further notice of the fili•g of said petition ollthe hearing
thereof is necessary or required, any further notice being
hereby dispensed rrith, and that the granting of said exception
and variance is/are found and determined necessary for the
preservation and enjoinment of the substantial property rights
of petitioner and is/are not materially detrimental to the public
welfare or injurious to the property or improvements in the zone
in which said property lies or the property or improvements in other
zones:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that an exception
and variance be and the same is/are hereby ordered and
made permitting the location, erection, use, operation
and maintenance on and in said property, of any building,
structure, improvement or use permitted under the
classification of Zone 14-2 - General Manufacturing
District as the uses of said Zone M-2 are set forth in
said Ordinance 342 and in any amendments thereof, which
said exception and variance shall be for the purposes of
tile and similar manufacture.
3E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ??ayor shall. sign
this Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest same and
certify to the passage and adoption thereof.

the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted
by the City Council -of the City of Azusa at a regular
meeting oP said City. -Council held in the regular council
chambers of said City Council in said City on January
7, 1945, and that the same was passed and adopted by
the following vote of the Council.
AYES: Councilmen Memmesheimer, Owens, Lamm,
Jumper.
