A RESOLUTION 0" THE CITY COUNCIL
.OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES
COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING
AN EXCEPTION Ai'D VARIA"CE UNDER
SECTION 16 OF ORDINANCE 1110. 342
APPLICABLE TO A PORTION OF BLOCK
53 IN SAID CITY.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS the City of Azusa has acquired through
delinquent tax sale proceedings, an ownership in and title
to
A parcel of land 200 feet long and 127
feet wide in the southeast corner of
Block 53 in said city, and
WHEREAS it has been made to appear to the City
Planning Commission of the City of Azusa that an exception
and variance should be ordered and allowed changing and
directing that the uses of said property be such uses as
are defined and set forth in and under Zone R-3 - °:ultiple
Family Residence District as the same are set forth in order
that No. 342 and any amendments thereof of the City of Azusa,
which said change the City Planning Commission has recommended
to the City Council of the said Ci.ty of Azusa,
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Azusa has
found and determined and does hereby find and determine and
declare that no further notice of the hearing of said matter
is necessary or required, and such further notice being hereby
dispensed with, and
WHEREAS said exception and variance is/are hereby
found and determined necessary for the preservation and
enjoyment of said property by the owner or owners thereof
and is/are not materially detrimental to the public welfare
or injurious to the property or improvements in the zone or
district in which said property lies or injurious to the

property or improvements in other zones or districts:
11OW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that an exception and
variance be and the same is/are hereby ordered and made
permitting and confining the location, erection, uses,
operation and maintenance on and in said property, by the
present owner or owners thereof or by his or their heirs,
executors, administrators, lessees, grantees, successors
or assigns, of any building, structure or improvement
permitted or required under the classification of R-3 -
Multiple Family Residence District as the same are set forth
and defined in said Ordinance No. 342 and any amendments
thereof, provided however that this resolution shall not be
construed or be held to authorize or to permit, the location,
erection, use, operation and maintenance of any building,
structure or improvement or the carrying on of any activity
in or on said property, which is or may be detrimental to
the health, peace or welfare of the city of Azusa or of any
of its inhabitants.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
resolution and the City Clerk attest same and certify to the
passage and adoption thereof.

Los Angeles County, California, do hereby certify that the
foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of
said City Council held in the regular Council Chambers of
said City Council in said City on October 21, 1946 and
that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote
of council:
AYES: Councilmen Nasser, Jumper, 2.:alone,
Memmesheimer and Lamm.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
I DO FURTHER CERTIFY that the attest is a true and
correct copy of Resolution No. 2042 passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof
held October 21, 1946.
