A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS A"GELES
COUNTY, CALIFORPIIA, AU"THORIZTYG

SECTION 16 OF ORDi:.ANCE NO. 342
AND APPLICABLE TO LOTS 36, 37, 42
AND 43 IN TRACT 13810 OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS, Of1ART I.'VESVIENT CO"T;ANY LTD., a corporation,
is the owner of
Lots 36, 37, 42 and 43 in Tract
13810 of the City of Azusa, and
WF -REAS a, petition for exception and variance has
been duly filed, praying for an exception and variance as to
aforesaid property changing the use thereof to the uses
prescribed for Zone R-2 — Two. Family Residence District
as the same are set forth in Ordinance No. 342 of the City of
Azusa and in the amendments-. thereof, the granting of which
petition has been recommended to the City Council by the
City Planning Commission of said City, and
WHEREAS the City Council of said City of Azusa has
found and does hereby find, determine and declare that no
further notice of the fil'_ng of said petition or of the
hearing thereof is necessary or required, such further notice
being hereby dispensed with, and
WHEREAS said exception and variance is/are hereby
found and determined necessary for the preservation and
enjoyment of the substantial rights of the petitioner and is/or
not materially detrimental to the public welfare or injurious.

which said property lies or injurious to the property or
improvements in other zones or districts:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that an exception and
variance be and the same is/are hereby ordered and made under
Section 16 of Ordinance No. 342 of said city, permitting and
directing the location, erection, use, operation and maintenance
on and in said property, by the present owner or owners there-
of or by his or their heirs, executors, administrators,
lessees, grantees, successors or assigns, of any building,
structure or improvement prescribed in Ordinance No'. 342 of
said city as being permitted and required in Zone R-2 -
Family Residence District, provided however that this
resolution shall not be construed or held to authorize or
permit the location, erection, use, operation and maintenance
of any building, structure or improvement or the carrying on
of any activity in or on said property, which is or may be
detrimental to the health, peace or welfare of the city of
Azusa or of any of its inhabitants.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
resolution and the City Clerk attest same and certify to the
passage and adoption thereof.

this October 21, 1946.

I, MAE A. FYNES, City Clerk of the City of Azusa,
Los Angeles County, California, do hereby certify that the
foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of
said City Council held in the regular Council Chambers of
said City Council in said City on October 21, 1946 and
that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote
of council:
AYES: Councilmen Nasser, Jumper, I::alone,
I:femmesheimer and Lamm.
NOES: Atone
ABSEI,?T: None
I DO FURTHER CERTIFY that the attest is a true and
correct copy of Resolution No. 20411 passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof
held October 21, 1946.
