BIDS FOR FURNISHING CERTAIN MATERIALS

AND LABOR REQUIRED FOR THE CONSTRUCT-
ION OF CERTAIN WORK ON THE SITE OF

WATER WELL NO. 4 ON PARAMOUNT AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF AZUSA AND AUTHORIZING

THE PURCHASE OF ALL NECESSARY MATERIAL
AND WORK FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION IN THE

101 The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:

12 WHEREAS the City of Azusa has heretofore published "Notice
to ContractorsA inviting sealed bids to be made to the City of
131 Azusa for furnishing all materials, labor, supervision,-�equipment,
tools, etc., necessary and required for the construction of a
14 single structure consisting of concrete block pump house, re -
enforced concrete settling basin and storage basin and appurtenance
15 complete, on the site of Water Well No. 4 on Paramount Avenue in
the City of Azusa in accordance with the plans and specifications
16 therefor on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City;
and

18 WHEREAS, there was but one bid received for furnishing said
material and oing said work, the amount of which bid in the opinio
19 of the City Council is excessive, and which bid was therefore re-
jected by the City Council:

211 THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa does
declare and determine that in its opinion, the materials for the
22 construction of said project can be obtained at a lower price in
23I the open market and the necessary work on said project may be
performed more economically by day labor.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
2541 Azusa that the material necessary to construct said single structure
consisting of concrete block pump house, re -enforced concrete
261 settling basin and storage basin and appurtenances, complete, be
purchased in the open market by said City through its City Engineer
27 and the Superintendent of hater and Light Department, subject
28. however, to the approval of the City Council.
29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the work of installing said
structure be done by such city employees as may be available and
30 day labor under the supervision and direction of the City Engineer
and the Superintendent of Water and Light Department of the City
31 of Azusa.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest to the same and certify
to the passage and adoption thereof.
