The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Azusa that the monthly salaries of the following employees of the City of Azusa for the positions therein designated to each, be and the same are fixed at the amounts placed opposite their respective names and positions, to—wit: J. 0. Kendrick Patrolman. 255.00 �, O 11 That all of said salaries are effective to begin as of July 2 3 1, 1948. 4 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms,of employment and 5 compensation of each of said employees shall be subject to the furthe 6action of the Council at any time, and that each employee shall hold , 7 his position at the pleasure of the Council, except such employees as 8 are elected by the voters of said City. 9 That the termination of the employment of the respective 10 employees,whether by reason of death, action of the City Council in 11 declaring the position vacant,or declaring the termination thereof, 12 or for any reason whatsoever,whether herein specifically mentioned 13 or not, said employee shall be paid to the date of such termination 14 only and not for any unexpired portion of the then calendar month, 15 such payment for such month to be in that proportion of the employee' 16 compensation as the number of days which the employee has served in 17 that month bears to thirty days. 18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all resolutions heretofore 19 enacted by the City Council respecting the salary of any employee in 20 this resolution named is hereby rescinded so far as said resolution 21 refers to salary of such employee,but not in any other respect. 22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor s;zall sign this 23 resolution and the City Clerk shall attest same and certify to the 24 passage and adoption theredf. r 25 r� 26 _ arry um er, Aqayor of EH—e 271 City of Azu„ 281 ATTEST: --;Z, � �Z./ 29 M._k.
