A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
3 THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING AN EXCEPTION
4 AND VARIANCE UNDER SECTION 16 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 342 AND APPLICABLE TO
5 LOTS NO. 21, 22, 23 and 24 IN BLOCK
13, ORIGINAL PLAT OF THE CITY OF AZUSA.

7 The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows:
8 WHEREAS, Mrs. R. M. Follows is the owner of the following
9 described property, to -wit:
Lots 21, 22, 23 and 24 in Block 13
10 in the City of Azusa,
11 and
12 WHEREAS a petition for exception and variance has been duly
13 filed praying for an exception and variance as to the aforesaid
property effecting the use thereof and for the purpose of permitting
14 light manufacturing thereon; and
15 WHERIEAS the City Council of the City of Azusa has found, and
does hereby Find, determine and declare that no further notice of
16 the filing of said petition or of the hearing thereof is necessary
or required, such further notice being.hereby dispensed with; and
17 WHEREAS said exception and variance is hereby found and
18 determined to be necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of the
substantial rights of .the petitioner and are not materially detriment.
19 to the public welfare or injurious_to the property or improvements in
the zone or district in which said property lies or injurious to the
20 property or zone in said districts.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that lots 22, 23 and 24 in Block
13 of the City of Azusa, Los Angeles County, California be retained
22 in Zone C-3 but that an exception be and the same is hereby granted
permitting the manufacturing of furnaces and accessories on said
23 lots, and further permitting said lots to be used for storage or
warehouse purposes. This exception is on the condition, however, that
24 all manufacturing of furnaces or accessories be carried on within the
buildings.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that lot 21 in said Block 30 be retained
26 in its present zone designation, but an exception be allowed permittin
said lot to be used as a parking lot, provided said lot is covered
27 with black top and wall erected on the north line of said lot at least
six feet in height.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the variances herein granted are on
29 the condition that there should be no on -street parking in connection
with the use of the lots herein mentioned, and that the automobiles
30 or vehicles of the employees of the occupants of said lots shall not
use the streets adjacent thereto for parking purposes.

It is understood that this variance is a limited variance only
32 for the purposes herein designated and under the conditions herein

2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this resolution
and the City Clerk attest same and certify to the passage and adopt -
3 ion thereof.

2 resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of
the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of said City Council held
3 in the regular Council Chambers of said City Council in said City
on May 17, 1948, and that the same was passed and adopted by the,
4 following vote of the Council:
