A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING
AN EXCEPTION AND VARIAITCE APPLICABLE TO LOTS 42,
43, 44 and 45 IN BLOCK 36 OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
ON THE PETITION OF J. M. BOREYITZ.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS a Petition for Exception and Variance has been
duly filed by J. LT. Borevitz, owner, for an exception and
variance enlarging the uses of the hereinafter described
property to Zone R-4 - Apartment House Districts uses as set
forth in Section 9, Ordinance 342 of Azusa, known as the Zon-
ing Ordinance; and
WHEREAS said property is described as:
Lots 42, 43, 44 and 45, Block 36, City of
Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, as per Map recorded in Book 15,
Pages 93 et seq.; Miscellaneous Records, in
the office of the County Recorder of said
County.
VHEREAS the City Planning Commission of said city has
recommended to the City Council, the granting of said except-
ion and variance; and
WHEREAS it is hereby found and determined by said City
Council that no further notice of the filing of said petition
or of the hearing thereof is necessary or required, such
further notice being hereby dispensed with; and
WHEREAS such exception and variance is hereby found and
determined necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of the
substantial rights of the petitioner, is not objected to by
the owners of property within 300 feet of same and is consented
to, and is not detrimental to the public welfare or injurious
to the property or improvements in the zone or district in which
said property lies or injurious to the 'property or improvements
in other zones or districts:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that an exception and
variance is hereby ordered and made granting the location,
erection, use, operation and maintenance on said Lots 42, 43,
44 and 45 in Block 36 of the City of Azusa, of any building,
structure or improvement permitted under the classification of
Zone R-4 - Apartment House Districts, as the uses of said Zone
R-4 are set forth and defined in Ordinance 342 of the City of
Azusa and in any amendments thereof.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the construction of an
apartment house building on the land hereinbefore described,
shall be in substantial compliance with the front elevation
sketch and the first and second floor drawings, as submitted
by said petitioner to said City Council at the time of the
consideration and passage of this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
resolution and the City Clerk shall attest same and certify
to the passage and adoption thereof.

of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of said City

in the Azusa City Hall on March 1, 1948 and that the
same was passed and adopted by the following vote of the
