A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, GRANTING AN EXCEPTION AND
VARIANCE APPLICABLE TO LOT 36, BLOCK
77 OF AZUSA, ON THE PETITION OF TONY
NORD.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS a Petition for Exception and Variance has
been duly filed by Tony Nord, owner, for an exception and
variance enlarging the uses of the hereinafter described
property to Zone C-2 - Neighborhood Business Districts
uses, as set forth in Section 11 of Ordinance 342 of Azusa,
known as the Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS said property is known as:
Lot 36, Block 77 of Azusa, in the City of
Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, and
WHEREAS the City Planning Commission of said city
has recommended to the City Council, the granting of said
exception and variance; and
WHEREAS it is hereby found and determined by said
City Council that no further notice of the filing of said
Petition or of the hearing thereof is necessary or required,
such further notice being hereby dispensed with; and
WHEREAS such exception and variance is hereby found
and determined necessary for the preservation and enjoy-
ment of the substantial rights of the petitioner and is not
detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to the
property or improvements in the zone or district in which
said property lies or injurious to the property or improve-
ments in other zones or districts:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that an exception and
variance is hereby ordered and made permitting the location,
erection, use, operation and maintenance on said Lot 36,
Block 77 of Azusa, of any building, structure or improve-
ment permitted under the classification of Zone C-2 -
Neighborhood Business Districts as the uses of said Zone
C-2 are set forth and defined in Ordinance 342 of the City
of Azusa and in any amendments thereof.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event any struct-
ures are erected on said premises in the exercise of the
exception and variance herein granted, a setback of ten
feet shall be maintained from the Westerly property line of
said land running along Azusa Avenue in said city, within
which ten feet no structures shall be erected; that the
exception and variance herein granted shall not be construed
as authorizing the use of said premises for the sale of
liquor; and that the construction of buildings on said
property shall conform to Fire Zone No. 2 requirements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
resolution and the City Clerk shall attest same and certify
to the passage and adoption thereof.

I, 11. A.'Hynes, City Clerk of the City of Azusa,
Los Angeles County, California, do hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council
of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of said City
Council held in the regular council chambers in said City
in the Azusa City Hall on February 16, 1948 and that the
same was passed and adopted by the following vote of the
Council:
AYES: Councilmen Nasser, Jumper, Memmesheimer,
Dickerson and 11alone.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
