HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 21830 RESOLUTION NO. 2183 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, MIPLOYING TONY GONZALES AS TRUCK DRIVER. AND FOR OTHER SERVICES IN THE STREET DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF AZT.TSA AND FIXING HIS SALARY. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: BE IT RESOLVED that Tony Gonzales be and he is hereby appointed as truck driver in the Street Department of the City of Azusa and to do such other and further work as the Superintendent of the Street Department may designate and his salary is hereby fixed at $195.00 per month beginning on the lst day of February 1948. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms of the employment of the said Tony Gonzales shall be and is subject to the further action of the City Council and that he shall hold his position as truck driver at the pleasure of the City Council. Upon the termination of the employment of said employee, whether by reason of death, action of the council in declaring the position vacant or declaring the termination thereof or by any reason whatsoever, whether herein specifically mentioned or not, said employee shall be paid to the date of such termin- ation only and not for any unexpired portion of the then calendar month, such payment for that month to be in that portion of the employee's monthly compensation as the number of days which the employee has served in that month bears to the number of days of such month. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this resolution and the City Clerk shall attest to the same and certify to the passage and adoption thereof.
