HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2182RESOLUTION NO.2182 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY,. CALIFORNIA, VACATING AN EASRUUNT ACQUIRED BY DEDICATION APRIL 9, 1946 AND WHICH EASEMENT CONTINUOUSLY SINCE SUCH DATE HAS NOT BEEN USED, AND IS UNNECESSARY. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: WHEREAS the Map of Tract 13790 of the City of Azusa, which dedicated the easement hereinafter described and now being vacated, was filed April 9, 1946; and WHEREAS*it is hereby found and determined by said City Council that said easement hereinafter described, continu- ously since the aforesaid date of dedication, has not been used for the purpose for which it was dedicated or for any other purpose, and is unnecessary for present or prospective public use; and WHEREAS said easement runs over, across, along and in the following described lands to -wit: The Easterly 15 feet of that portion of Lot 38 of Tract No. 13790, in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California as per map recorded in Book 275 Pages 46 and 0 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, lying Northerly of the Westerly prolong- ation of the Northerly line of the Southerly 7.50 feet of Lot 33 of said' -Tract No. 13790, being a portion of that certain easement for public utilities dedicated to the public use and shown on the map of said Tract No. 13790. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the aforesaid easement shall \be and the same is hereby vacated by the City of Azusa. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said easement immediately hereinbefore described ceases upon the passage of this resolution, whereupon title to the land previously subject thereto reverts and shall revert to the respective owner or owners thereof free from the rights of the public. - 1 - BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the officers of the City of Azusa be and the same are hereby authorized and directed to take all such proper action and to do such things, on behalf of the City, as are or may be requisite or proper in order to carry out and make effective the vacation of aforesaid easement and the reversion of title to the respective owner or owners of said land free from the rights of the public. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and certify to the passage and adoption thereof. ATTEST: o'er 11. A.
