Present at roll call -Trustees Moon,Goslin,Bierbower, and President Case,CiV Attorney and City Clerk. Absent -Trustee Barnes.. The minutes o:A December 6,1920 were read and appro- ved as read. The resignation of W,P.Barnes as a member of the 'Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa was read and on motion the same was accepted. Carried by the following vote;- Ayee-Trustees Moon,Goelin,Bierbower,Case. Noes -None. Absent -Barnes. Trustee Bierbower offered the followind Resolution; 221 RESIGNATION OF W.P.BAR NES ACCEPTED. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,EXTENDING THE THANKS OF THE COMMUNITY TO W.P. BARNES FOR PAST SERVICES. RBSOLUTION NO.636 The Resolution was read . ADOPTED. On motion. the Resolution was adopted as read. Carried by the following vote. Ayes -Trustees Moon,Goslin,Bierbower,Case. Noes -None. Absent-0awAa+do Trustee Goelin offered the following Resolution; RESOLUTION NO,.639 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY ADOPTED, OF AZUSA,APPOINTING MORGAN J.PEIRCE TO THE OFFICE OF MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF SAIXCITY,;" The Resolution was read. On motion the Resolution was adopted as read, Carried by the following vote.Ayes-Trustees Moon, Goslin,Bierboiver,Case.Noes-None. Health Ordinance wame presented by the City Attor- ney and laid over until next meeting, It was moved that the salary of E,B.Elliott as Special Police Officer to inforce the State Motor Vehicle Act be fixed at the sum of $100.00 per month commencing November 1,1920 and to continue during the pleasure of the Board. It was regularly moved and carried that the City Clerk be instructed to write a letter to the Board ,of Supervisors relative to repairs on the County Motorcycle loaned to this City and also to requeat that the Motor Officer be placed on the County pay :roll at a minimum salary in order that he may secure the benefits of the Compensation Insurance Flind. ' Mr James B.Barker Consulting Engineer made a repott on the gas situation but no action was taken by the Board. ' It was moved that the City Clerk be instructed to have 500 copies of the last water rate Ordinance printed, earried by the following vote; Ayes -Trustees Este,Moon,Goslin,Bierbower,Case. TO brought before the Board; BE MADE IN WRITING, That all petitions, requests and applications shall be filed in writing with the City Clerk not later than noon of the day on which the same is to be considered by said Board,and that the City Clerk shall thereupon peesent the same to the Board at its next meeting and that the Board may at its option call upon any person present to make any further statement orally as to such matter so pres- ented,and that the Board may decline to hear any oral application not put in writing as required by . this rule. California Edison Company for $1443,80 be approved BILL PROTESTED. under protest as recommended by the Auditing Comm- ittee,and on the ground stated in the written pro- test attached thereto.
