RESOLUTION NO. 2435
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THAT
THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND CONVENIENCE REQUIRE THAT
CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN SAID CITY BE IMPROVED FROM
GAS TAX FUNDS TO BE APPORTIONED BY LOS ANGELES
COUNTY TO SAID CITY FOR THE 1950-51 FISCAL YEAR
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles will apportion to the
City of Azusa from its 1950-51 County budget appropriation for
"Aid to Cities" (gasoline tax) a certain sum for the 1950-51
fiscal year for the improvement of streets within said city;
and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles requires that the City
of Azusa determine and submit for approval the streets which it
proposes to improve from the funds apportioned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of Azusa hereby determines and declares that the public
interest and convenience require the improvement of the roadways
of the following described streets, to wit:
1. Grading, construction of concrete combination curb and gutter
and surfacing with two inch plant -mixed surfacing of the
northerly half of Paramount Avenue between Orange Avenue
and Angeleno Avenue.
2. Grading and surfacing with two inch plant -mixed surfacing
of the southerly half.of Paramount Avenue adjacent to
Tract No. 15711 between Orange Avenue and 132 feet east
of Angeleno Avenue
The total estimated cost of all the improvements above-
mentioned is $3000.00.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified
copy of this resolution and a copy of Estimated Quantities and
Costs to Mr. E. A. Burt, Road Commissioner, County of Los Angeles,
108 West Second Street, Los Angeles 12, California.
