HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2408RESOLUTION N0. 2408 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THAT THE REPAIR AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE.MUNICIPAL SWIMMING FACILITIES WITHIN SLAUSON MEMORIAL PARK NEAR PASADENA AVENUE AND FIFTH STREET IN THE CITY OF AZUSA CAN BE PERFORMED MORE ECONOMICALLY BY DAY LABOR AND/OR THE MATERIALS OR SUPPLIES FURNISHED AT A LOWER PRICE ON THE OPEN MARKET AND THAT THE REPAIR OF SAID SWIMMING FACILITIES BE DONE.BY THE CITY OF AZUSA ON THE BASIS OF DAY LABOR AND PURCHASE OF MATERIAL ON OPEN MARKET. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1. The bids for the repair and construction of the municipal swimming facilities within Slauson Memorial Park near Pasadena Avenue and Fifth Street in the City of Azusa were opened on May 1, 1950 at the time set for the opening of said bids and the City Council of the City of Azusa reviewed all bids presented. Section 2. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby declare that the repair and construction of the municipal swimming facilities within the Slauson Memorial Park near Pasadena Avenue and Fifth Street in the City of Azusa in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Azusa can be more economically performed by day labor and/or the purchase of materials and supplies can be obtained at a lower price on the open market. Section 3. It is further resolved that the plans and specifications as set forth in schedule D of the plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Azusa be adopted. Section 4. It is further resolved that the department of public works be designated as the agent of the City for the purpose of and be directed to proceed to do the work set forth in said schedule D for the rehabilitation of said municipal plunge. -1- 71 00 00 Section 5. The department of public works is hereby authorized and instructed to proceed by day labor and the purchase of materials and/or supplies on open market without further action of the City Council of the City of Azusa. Section 6. Be it further resolved that the Mayor shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest same and certify to the passage and adoption thereof.
