RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING
THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM
WAGE AND THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE FOR
LEGAL HOLIDAY AND OVERTIME WORK IN SAID
CITY FOR CERTAIN CRAFTS OR TYPES OF WORKMEN
FOR CERTAIN WORK OR IMPROVEIatENT IN ANGELENO
AVENUE, FIFTH STREET AND SIXTH STREET.
WHEREAS, this City Council of the City of Azusa:
has by its Resolution No. '2403 ordered certain work or
improvement, said work or improvement being more particularly
described in its Resolution No. 2388, and shown on plans
(which include profiles and detailed drawings) designated
"Plans for Assessment District No. 1950-3" on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said city, and described in
specifications designated "Specifications No. 1950-3," also
on file in.the office of said City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has ascertained the
general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality
in which said work is,to be performed for each craft or type
of workman needed to execute the contracts for said work,
and this City Council has ascertained the general prevailing
rate for legal holiday and overtime work in said locality
for each craft or type of workman needed to execute said
contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Azusa, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
as follows:

Section 1. That the general prevailing rate of
per diem wages in the locality in which said work is to be
performed for each craft or type of workman needed to execute
the contract for said work is determined to be as follows, to wit:

FOREMAN: All foremen not herein separately classified shall
be paid not less than $$1.40 per day more than the
journeymanrate for the craft involved for the
following:
Carpenters
Cement Finishers
Laborers
Truck Drivers
For all other crafts, all foremen not herein
separately classified shall be paid not less
than $$1.00 per day more than the journeyman
rate for the craft involved.'
Indentured Apprentices under Section 1777.5 of
he La or ode of the State of California
who are employed for said work shall be
paid in accordance with said Section 1777.5.
Section 2. .That the general prevailing rate for
overtime work in said locality for each craft or type of
workman needed to execute said contract is determined to
be one and one-half (1-1/2) times the said prevailing hourly
rate of wage for each hour of working time more than eight
(8) hours, during any one calendar day. Said rate is determined
to be the general prevailing rate for working time on Sundays
and the following seven legal holidays, to wit: New Yearis Day,
Decoration Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Armistice Day,
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If any of the above named
holidays occur on Sunday, the Monday next succeeding shall be
considered a legal holiday. Notwithstanding the general
provisions hereinabove set forth, the straight rates as
specified for flagmen, guards and watchmen are applicable
to a maximum of eight (a) hours per calendar day including
Saturdays, Sundays and holidays for a total of not over
forty (40) hours per week, but the overtime rate hereinabove
set forth applies to flagmen, guards and watchmen for any
working time in excess of eight (8) hours per day or forty
(40) hours per week.

Section 3. Said general prevailing rates shall
be specified in the call for bids for said contract and in
the contract itself.
