RESOLUTION N0. 2360
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THE NATURE, LO-
CATION AND EXTENT OF A PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT;
MAKING OTHER DETERMINATIONS REQUIRED BY THE
SPECIAL ASSESSMENT'INVESTIGATION, LIMITATION
& MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1931 AND ORDERING A
WRITTEN REPORT UNDER SAID ACT.
WHEREAS, certain property owners of the City of Azusa
have filed petitions with this council of said city request-
ing certain improvements on Angeleno Street and other streets
in said city; and
WHEREAS, this council proposes to institute proceed-
ings for the improvement of said streets, the cost of con-
struction of which will be paid for by special assessments; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that Ralph S. Brooks, City
Engineer and Arthur Wolfe, Superintendent of Streets, prepare
and present to this council a written report for said work in
accordance with the provisions of Sections 2824 to 2830, in-
clusive, of the Streets & Highways Code of the State of Cal-
ifornia;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Azusa DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That, in general, the nature, location
and extent of said proposed work or improvement shall be as
follows:

The improvement of Angeleno Avenue between
Fifth Street and Sixth Street wit} theacongrading and
struction of Portland cement concrete curbs
and gutters and with the construction of cer-
tain driveway aprons of pre -mix pavement two

inches thick; and the improvement of Fifth
Streets and Sixth Street at their inter-
sections with Angeleno Avenue with the con-
struction of Portland cement curbs and gut-
ters,
Section 2. That said proposed work or improvement
in the opinion of this council will be of more than local or
ordinary public benefit and this council hereby proposes to
make the expense of said proposed work or improvement charge-
able upon a district; and that the district to be benefited
by said proposed work or improvement and to be assessed to pay
the costs and expenses thereof shall in general include all
lots and parcels of land abutting upon or contiguous to
Angeleno Avenue between Fifth Street and Sixth Street.
Section 3. That the proceedings for said proposed
work or improvement shall be conducted under and pursuant to
the "Improvement Act of 19111', Division 7 of the Streets and
Highways Code.
Section 4, That Ralph S. Brooks, City Engineer and
Arthur Wolfe, Superintendent of Streets be, and they hereby are,
directed to procure the required information and present to
this council the written report on said work or improvement re-
quired by the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation
and Majority Protest Act of 1931", as set forth in Division 4,
Part 2, Sections 2824 to 2830, inclusive, of the Streets and
Highways Code,

HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted
by the City Council of said city and was approved by the Mayor
of said city at a regular meeting of said City Council held on
the 21st day of November, 1949, and that it was adopted by the
