RESOLUTION NU. 2327
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
TkiE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CHANGE OF BUS
ROUTES AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 4 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 396 OF SAID CITY OF
AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, the Azusa Motor Bus Company, a corporation, whose
president N. H. Woolley heretofore has filed an application in the
office of the City Clerk of said City of Azusa setting forth that
public convenience and necessity require that the bus route as
set forth and described in Section 4 of Ordinance No. 396 of
Ordinances of the City of Azusa be revised and changed so that the
bus routes should be as follows, to -wit:
Commencing at the intersection of Ninth Street and
Azusa Avenue; thence South on Azusa Avenue to Foothill
Boulevard; thence East on Foothill Boulevard to Pasadena
Avenue; tnence South on Pasadena Avenue to Third Street;
thence West on Third Street to San Gabriel Avenue;
thence North on San Gabriel Avenue to Fifth Street;
thence West on Fifth Street to Virginia Avenue; thence
South on Virginia Avenue to Third Street; thence East
on Third Street to Vernon Avenue; thence South on
Vernon Avenue to Broadway; thence West on Broadway
to Jackson Avenue, return trip to be made over the
same route in reverse order; and
WHEREAS, notice of hearing on said application by order of
the City Council has been posted in each of the vehicles in service
on said route for a period of more than fifteen days immediately
prior to July 5, 1949, as required by the provisions of said

Ordinance No. 396; and
WHEREAS, further notice of said hearing was published in
the Azusa Herald & Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper published in
said City of Azusa; and
WHEREAS, evidence upon the question of whether or not
public convenience and necessity no longer require that bus
service as authorized by Section 4 of said Ordinance No, 396
be furnished to that particular part of the route which the
petition herein requests that said service be eliminated; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council after said
hearing that public convenience and necessity do no longer
require tnat the applicant furnish transportation service on that
part of the route described in said Section 4 which Is described
as follows:
900 feet on Fifth Street eatst of Pasadena Avenue;
1350 feet on Dalton Avenue south of Fifth Street;
3100 feet on Azusa Avenue south of Third Street;
3250 feet on Pasadena Avenue west of Azusa Avenue;
1350 feet on Virginia Avenue north of Paramount
Avenue; 1700 feet on First Street east of Virginia
Avenue; 900 feet on Orange Avenue north of First
Street; 900 feet on Second Street east of Orange
Avenue; 550 feet on Angeleno Avenue north of
Second Street; 3500 feet on Third Street east of
Angeleno Avenue; 1350 feet on Coney Avenue north
of Third Street; 1125 feet on Fifth Street east
of Coney Avenue; 675 feet on Angeleno Avenue north
of Fifth Street; 675 feet on Sixth Street east of
Angeleno Avenue; 575 feet on AzusaAvenue north of
Sixth Street.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the petition of said Azusa

Motor Bus Company be and the same is hereby granted and that the
route for supplying bus service be and the same is hereby
designated as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of Ninth Street and
Azusa Avenue; thence South on Azusa Avenue to Foothill
Boulevard; thence East on Foothill Boulevard to Pasadena
Avenue; thence South on Pasadena Avenue to Third Street;
thence West on Third Street to San Gabriel Avenue;
thence North on San Gabriel Avenue to Fifth Street;
thence West on Fifth Street to Virginia Avenue; thence
South on Virginia Avenue to Third Street; tnence East
on Third Street to Vernon Avenue; thence South on
Vernon Avenue to Broadway; thence West on Broadway
to Jackson Avenue, return trip to be made over the
same route in reverse order.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and certify
to the passage and adoption thereof -
