A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
3 CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIF-
ORNIA, RELATIVE TO APPLICATION OF THE
4 AZUSA MOTOR BUS COMPANY, A CORPORATION,
FOR CHANGE OF ROUTE.

8 The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
9 follows:

WHEREAS, the Azusa Motor Bus Company, a corporation, has
11
filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Azusa, a
12
request to change the routes of said bus line as set forth in
13
Section 4 of Ordinance No. 396 of the City of Azusa, thereby
14
eliminating from said bus line the following portions of the
15
streets now being served, to -wit:
16
17 900 feet on Fifth Street east of Pasadena Avenue; 1350
18 feet on Dalton Avenue south of Fifth Street; 3100 feet on Azusa
19 Avenue south of Third Street; 3250 feet on Pasadena Avenue west
20 of Azusa Avenue; 1350 feet on Virginia Avenue north of Paramount
21 Avenue; 1700 feet on First Street east of Virginia Avenue; 900
22 feet on Orange Avenue north of First Street; 900 feet on Second
23 Street east of Orange Avenue; 550 feet on Angeleno Avenue north
24 of Second Street; 3500 feet on Third Street east of Angeleno
25 Avenue; 1350 feet on Coney Avenue north of Third Street; 1125
26 feet on Fifth Street east of Coney Avenue; 675 feet on Angeleno
27 Avenue north of Fifth Street; 675 feet on Sixth Street east of
28 Angeleno Avenue; 575 feet on Azusa Avenue north of Sixth Street.
29 Also the entire route as outlined in said Section 4 of
30 Ordinance No. 396, north of the Pacific Electric Station at
31 Ninth Street and Azusa Avenue consisting of 850 feet on Ninth
32 Street west of Azusa Avenue; 1825 feet on Crescent Drive west of

Angeleno Avenue; 950 feet on Vernon Avenue north of Crescent
Drive; 3811 feet on Eleventh Street east of Vernon Avenue; 1350
feet on Soldano Avenue south of Eleventh Street; 1120 feet on
Ninth Street east of Soldano Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the said Azusa Motor Bus Company proposes to
route its service in such a way that the eliminated portions as
above set forth will be reasonably accessible to said bus line
service; and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 396 provides that upon proper
request being filed, the City Council take evidence upon the
question as to whether or not public convenience and necessity
require an amendment or revision of the routes designated in
Section 4 of said Ordinance at any regular meeting of the C�-ty
Council.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Azusa that a public hearing on the petition of said Azusa
Motor Bus Company for change of route be had at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 5th day of July A. D., 1949, at 8:00
o'clock P. M. of said day, at the regular council chambers in the
City Auditorium in said City of Azusa, at which time evidence will
be received both for and against the granting of the petition of
the Azusa Motor Bus Company.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Azusa Motor Bus Company
and place
post appropriate notice of the date/of such hearing in each of the
vehicles in the service of the said Azusa Motor Bus Company, which
notices are to be so posted on or before the 13th day of June,
1949, and shall remain so posted until after the said hearing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and certify

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at
a regular meeting of said council of said City held in the regular
council chambers of said City Council in said City June 6 ,
1949, and that the same was passed by the following vote of the
Council:
AYES: Councilmen: ORTUNO, MEMMESHEIMER, MALONE, JUMPER.
NOES: Councilmen: None.
ABSENT: Councilman: NASSER.
