HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 23001 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 0 6 RESOLUTION NO. 2300 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIF- ORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR IN BEHALF OF THE CITY TO SIGN? A QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR AN ABANDONED EASEMENT. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: WHEREAS the City of Azusa has an easement for various incidental purposes in connection with its water system as granted - in a deed from H. L. Macneil and others to the City of Azusa, which deed is recorded in Book 1351, Page 310 of Deeds, Records of Los Angeles County, California; and WHEREAS said easement has never been used by the City of Azusa and in tre'opinion of the City Council never will be used by said City and that the same is therefore valueless; and WHEREAS the property to which said easement applies is about to be subdivided and improved; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the !Mayor of the City of Azusa is hereby authorized and directed to sign and execute a Quit Claim Deed to said easement in favor of Earl G. Corkett, a married man, as his separate property, as to an undivided one-third interest therein; and to W. E. Lindblom and Kathryn Lindblom, husband and wife, as joint tenants, as to an undivided one-third interest; and George 4-t. Rodecker and Faye W. Rodecker, husband and wife, as joint tenants, as to an undivided one-third interest. all of its right, title and interest in and to the real property in the City of Azusa, State of California, described as follows: The Westerly 384.91 feet of that portion of Lot 76-x, Subdivision No. 2 of the Azusa Land and Water Company, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map thereof recorded in book 43, page 94 of Miscellaneous Records of said County, lying Westerly of a line parallel with the westerly boundary line of said lot 76J and distant easterly therefrom 414.91 feet measured along the northerly line of Eleventh Street, 60 feet in width. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest the said deed and to place the seal of the City thereon. CORKETT, a married man, as his separate property, as to an undivided one-third interest; W. E. LINDBLOM and KATHRYN LINDBLOM, husband and wife, as joint tenants, as to an undivided one- third interest, and GEORGE M. RODECKER and FAYE W.
