A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REQUESTING
THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, DIVISION OF HIGHYIAYS, OF THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVE THE INCLUSION OF PORTIONS OF THIRD
STREET AND FOURTH STREET WITHIN THE "SYSTEM OF MAJOR CITY STREETS"
WITHIN SAID CITY.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby resolve as follows:
1. That pursuant to Chapter 2 of Division 3 of the Streets and
Highways Code, the City Council hereby determines and declares that the public
interest, necessity, and convenience require that there be included within the
"System of Major City Streets" within the City of Azusa the following described
streets:
a. Third Street between the Northerly prolongation of the
Easterly line of Orange Avenue and the Southerly pro-
longation c£ the Westerly line of Orange Place.
b. Fourth Street between the Northerly prolongation of
the Westerly line of Orange Place and the Southerly
prolongation of the Easterly line of Orange Avenue.
For further particulars as to the location of the above described
Streets, reference is hereby made to Plan and Profile of Orange Avenue, Sheets
Numbers 4 and 5, prepared by Ralph S. Brooks, City Engineer, City of Azusa,
designated'Vlan and Profile of Orange Avenue from First Street to Fifth Street"
dated November, 1949.
2. That the Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, of
the State of California, are hereby requested to approve the aforementioned
described streets to be and form a part of the "System of Major City Streets"
within the City of Azusa.
3. That the City Clerk be and hereby is directed and authorized to
forward two (2) certified copies of this Resolution to A. D. Griffin, District
Engineer -Administration, State Division of Highways, District VII, Spring and
Z 3 � J Second Building, 129 West Second Street, Los Angeles 12, California.

Los Angeles County, California,, do hereby certify that the
foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of
said City Council held in the regular Council Chambers of
said City Council in said City on the 27th day of December,
1949, and that the same was passed and adopted by the follow-
ing vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Nasser, Ortuno, Malone,'Memmesheimer.
Noes: None
