RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
RE FURNISHING OF UNIFORMS TO MEMBERS OF THE POLICE
AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby resolve as
llows:
Section 1. Whereas, certain confusion has heretofore arisen

egarding the furnishing of uniforms by the City of. Azusa to members

£ the Police and Fire Departments.

Section 2. It is resolved that subject to change by the City
10
ouncil the following shall be the policy of the City of Azusa
11
egarding uniforms.

Section 3. Police Officers and full time firemen, upon becoming
13
mployees of the Police or Fire Department of the City of Azusa
14
hall provide their own uniform and at the end of their probationary

eriod and when they have become regular members, and at the end
16
f each year of service they shall be furnished not more than two
17
airs of pants, three shirts and one cap by the City of Azusa,
18
pon order of the head of their department. In case of termination
19
f their employment, all uniforms, and parts thereof, 'shall be re -
20
urned to the City by said officers prior to their receiving final
21 '
ayment of salary. Upon order of the head of their department, any
22
fficer may be furnished a uniform, or any part thereof, damaged
23
r destroyed in the line of duty.
24 Section 4. Emergency war time employees of the .Police Department
25 shall likewise furnish their own uniforms and at the end of six
26 onths and each year thereafter they shall be furnished not more
27 han two
pairs of pants, three shirts and one cap by the City of
28 Azusa, upon order of the head of their department. Upon termin-
29 tion of their employment, all uniforms and
parts thereof, shall
30 a returned to the City by said emergency employees prior to their
31 eceivin
g final payment of salary. Upon order of the head of
32 heir department said emergency employees shall likewise be

furnished a uniform, or any part thereof, damaged or destroyed
in the line of duty.
Section 5. Members of the Fire Department on a part time
basis shall furnish their own uniforms.
Section 6. It is further resolved that Resolution Number 2514
of the City of Azusa be, and the same is hereby rescinded.
Section 7. It is further resolved that the Mayor shall sign this
resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and certify
as to the passage and adoption hereof.
