A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DIRECTING
THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A DEED TO WILLIAM
N. TIMMONS.AND BILLIE.C. TIMMONS, HUSBAND.AND
WIFE, AS JOINT TENANTS, TO.PROPERTY HEREINBELOW
DESCRIBED, TO REPLACE SIMILAR DEED OF SEPTEMBER
27, 1948 WHICH HAS BECOME LOST.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS the City Council of said City of Azusa by Resolution
No. 2058 passed and adopted March 3, 1947, declared its
intention to sell the following described realty in ad-
vance of which sale due notice had been published; and
WHEREAS pursuant to the terms of said Resolution P. E.
Calvert bid the sum of $80.00 for said property which sum,
he being the highest and best bidder, was paid to and
accepted by said City of Azusa, and thereupon said P. E.
Calvert assigned his bid to William N. Timmons and Billie
C. Timmons, husband and wife as joint tenants, which
assignment included all rights which the said P. E. Calvert
.had or may have to the property covered by said bid and
all rights to receive from the City of Azusa a deed for
said property; and
WHEREAS pursuant to said assignment by P. E. Calvert to
said William N. Timmons and Billie C. Timmons, husband and
wife as joint tenants, and in furtherance of said bid for
said property, the said City of Azusa did thereupon on
September 27, 1948 duly execute by and through Harry D.
Jumper its then Mayor and M. A. Hynes its'then City Clerk,
to and in favor of William N. Timmons and Billie C. Timmons,
husband and wife as joint tenants, as grantees, and did
deliver to said grantees, the deed of said City of Azusa
for said property which property is described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the northwesterly line
of Lot 8 of Tract 8161 as per map thereof re-
corded in Map Book 128, Pages 19 and 20, Records
of Los Angeles -County, California, which point
is 37.70 feet from the northwesterly corner of
said Lot 8, measured along the aforesaid north-
westerly line of Lot 8; thence due west 36.80
feet; thence due north 98.83 feet; thence S. 680
121 E., 26.58 feet; thence S. 70 451 3011 E.,
89.77 feet to the place of beginning. (Area
0.065 Acres); and
WHEREAS said deed of said City of Azusa dated September 27,
1948 duly executed and acknowledged, upon delivery to said
William N. Timmons and Billie C. Timmons, was lost by said
grantees and cannot now be found;.and
WHEREAS a true and exact copy of said deed of September 27,
1946, marked Exhibit A is annexed hereto and here referred to
and expressly made a part of this Resolution as if herein
rewritten; said copy being as follows, viz:

the sum of $80.00, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, DOES
HEREBY REMISE, RELEASE AND FOREVER QUITCLAIM TO
WILLIAM N. TIMMONS and BILLIE C. TIMMONS
Husband and Wife as Joint Tenants
all that real property in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, described as follows:
Parcel G. Beginning at a point in the northwesterly line
of Lot 8 of.Tract 8161 as per map thereof recorded in Map
Book 128, pages 19 and 20, Records of Los Angeles County,
California, which point is 37.70 feet from the northwest-
erly corner of said Lot 8, measured along the aforesaid
northwesterly line of Lot 8; thence due West 36.80 feet;
thence due North 98.83_teet; thence S. 680 121 E., 26.58
feet; thence S. 70 451 30" E. 89.77 feet to the place of
beginning. (Area 0.065 Acres
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Azusa has hereunto caused
(Seal its corporate name and seal to be hereunto subscribed and affixed this
City of 27 day of .September, 1948, by its proper officials, to wit,

signed, a Notary Public in and for said County and State, personally
appeared Harry D. jumper, known to me to be the Mayor and M. A. Hynes,
known to me to be the City Clerk of the City of Azusa, the municipal
corporation that executed the within instrument, known to me to be
the persons who executed the within instrument on behalf of the mu-
nicipal corporation therein named, and acknowledged to me that such
corporation executed the same.

WHEREAS the said William N. Timmons and Billie C.
Timmons, husband and wife as.joint tenants, have
requested of the said City of Azusa that a deed
in the same terms as the aforesaid deed of September
27, 1948 but now lost, be. issued to take the place
of said lost deed:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that a deed in the same
terms as the said lost deed -of September 27, 1948, be
executed and delivered by said City of Azusa to
William N. Timmons and Billie C. Timmbns, husband
and wife as joint tenants, as grantees, conveying
to said grantees the property hereinbefore described.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Karl J. Jones, Mayor of
the.City of Azusa, and M. A..Hynes, City Clerk of
said city, be authorized and are hereby directed to
execute and deliver said deed, on behalf of said City
of Azusa, to said grantees, and to do all such other
things as are or may be requisite or proper in order
to carry into effect the terms of this Resolution and
to effectuate the conveyance of the property herein-
before described, to said grantees.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of said city
shall sign this Resolution and that the City Clerk
shall attest same and certify to the passage and ad-
option thereof.
