RESOLUTION NO. 2483
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISH-
ING A POLICE RESERVE CORPS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
EMERGENCY AND RELIEF AS REQUIRED BY THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT.
1. A Police Reserve Corps shall be established in the City'
of Azusa for the purpose of emergency and relief as required
by the Police Department.
2. . The Police Reserve Corps shall have a maximum personnel
of twelve (12) men, to be appointed by the Chief of Police
as needed, subject to.the approval of the City Council. Said
number may be changed if necessary by recommendation of the
Chief of Police, with the approval of the City Council.
3. Reserve Police officers shall be duty sworn to oath by
the City Clerk, to perform any and all duties of a regular
Police officer while on duty.
4. Reserve officers shall be required to work a minimum of
eight (8) hours per month, for which they shall receive
six dollars ($6.00). No other payment shall be made unless
called for special duty. If called for special assignment,
.they.shall be paid at the rate of one dollar ($1.00) per hour
in addition.to their six dollars 06.00) monthly salary.
5. Reserve officers shall furnish their uniform and equipment,
with the exception of a badge, cap piece and identification
card, which shall be furnished by the Police Department.
Uniforms shall be the same as worn by regular officers of
the City of Azusa.
6. Reserve officers shall work under the direction and super-
vision of W regular member of the Police Department assigned
by the Chief of Police. Said member shall keep a record of
hours worked, and conduct or arrange for training.
7. Reserve officers shall be subject to call at any hour of
the day or night. In the event an officer shall leave town
for any length of time, he shall inform the Police Department
where he may be reached in case of emergency.
