A RESOLUTION OF.THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, BUDGETING GAS TAX FUNDS APPORTIONED
FOR THE 1952-53 FISCAL YEAR BY SAID COUNTY TO
SAID CITY FOR THE GENERAL MAINTENANCE OF ALL
THE STREETS IN SAID CITY.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby resolve
as follows:
Section 1. Whereas, the County of Los Angeles has apportioned
$79751.35 from its 1952-53 budget appropriation for "Aid to
Cities" (gasoline tax funds) to the City of Azusa for the
maintenance and improvement of streets within said City; and .
Section 2. Whereas, said County requires that said City
submit for approval the streets improved or maintained by
expenditure of said gasoline tax funds and the nature of
the work thereon; and
Section 3. Whereas, the public interest and convenience
require the maintenance of the roadways of -all the streets
within said City;
Section 4. Now, therefore, it is resolved that the expenditure
of said gasoline tax funds for the fiscal year 1952-53 shall
be $7,751.35 for the general maintenance of all the streets
within said City.
Section 5. .It is further resolved that the City Clerk shall
forward a certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Sam R.
Kennedy, Road Commissioner, County of Los Angeles, 108 West;
Second Street, Los'Angeles 120 California.
Section 6. It is further resolved that the Mayor shall sign
this resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and
certify as to the passage and adoption hereof.
