CITY OF A7..USA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES,
3 STATE OF CALIFORNIA DECLARING TILE RESULTS
OF THE OFFICIAL COUNT AAPD CANVASS OF THE
4 VOTERS AT THE SPECI_AL ELECTION HELD IN
SAID CITY ON AUGUST 14, 1953.

6Ii The amity Council of the Cit.- of Azusa does hereby resolve
7as follows:
8 SECTION 1: WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election was held
9 and conducted in the City of Azusa, Los An7eles County, California
10 on Friday, the 14th day of August, 1953, pursuant to Resolution No.
11 2802,

13 was duly given and that there were eight (8) votin^ precincts

ZZ 161 the same are and were established by the Board of Supervisors of
MridM 17i Los Angeles County, California, pursuant to Resolution No. 2829.

x�g 18 That election officials were appointed and election supplies fur -

mZ 19 nished and in all respects said election was held and conducted and
20 returns thereof made and declared in the time, form and manner as
21 required byllthe General Election Laws of the State of California
22 governing election in the cities of the fifth and sixth class, and
23 SECTION 3: 160,REAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa
24 met at the Council Chambers of said City Council on August 17, 1953
25 to canvass the returns of said election and canvassed the returns
26 of all votes, save and except the absentee ballots and the absentee
27 ballots not being in and the Council havin7 adjourned from day to
28 day for the purpose of counting the absentee ballots and the same
29 not all being in prior to the 21st day of August, 1953, whereupon
30 said Council found that the number of votes cast, the results of
31 said election and other matters required by law to be as hereinafte.

the office of the City Council of the City of Azusa. That the pro-
position of the Recall prevailing; the vacancy shall be filled by
special election for that purpose carried. That the ordinance en-
titled "An Ordinance of the City of Azusa establisliin- a personnel
systeci and repealing initiative ordinance adopted as resolution No.
2395 of the City of Azusa on April 18, 1950" failed and did not
jearry and is declared lost.
SECTIOZ 6: It is further resolved that the Payor s'rall sign
this resolution and that the Cif. Clerk shall attest the same and
certif, as to the passaie ,4hrl .Adoption;,I24reo .

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of
the City of Azusa at a regular Adjourned
meeting of said Council of said City held in the
regular council chambers of said City Council in
said City.
August 21 , 1953 and that the same
was passed by the following vote of the Council:
