HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2835RESOLUTION NO. 2835 yea RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, ABANDONING PROCEEDINGS UNDER THE IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 1911 AND RESOLU- TION NO. 2602 FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF BAYLESS AVENUE AND OTHER STREETS IN THE CITY OF AZUSA. (Assessment District No. 1951-4) WHEREAS, under and pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911, this City Council heretofore, on the 7th day of April, 1952, adopted its Resolution of Intention, Resolution No. 2602, providing for certain grading and the construction of certain portland cement concrete curbs and gutters and the paving of certain driveway aprons with portland cement concrete on Bayless Avenue and other streets in the City of Azusa; and WHEREAS, on July 7, 1952, the City Council received and opened bids for the performance of said work or improvement, and on the 4th day of August, 1952, rejected said bids; and WHEREAS, this City Council deems that it is in the interest of the public and the property owners within the assess- ment district that said proceedings be abandoned; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER that said proceedings under and pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911 and said Resolution of Intention, Resolution No. 2602, be and the same hereby are abandoned.
