WHEREAS, recall petitions have been circulated? against JOE A.,HERNANDEZ, KARL J. JONES and ARTHUR Z. SELTZER, all of whom are City Councilmen of the City of Azusa, and SECTION 2. WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Azusa has filed his petition certifying the results of the examination and, SECTION 3. It appearing therefrom that the petition is sufficient, SECTION 4. NOW, THEREFORE, the 14 day of August, 1953 is hereby set as the time and place for a special election to be held, on said date. That on said date the hours the polls shall be open are 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. SECTION 5.. That the Judges, inspectors and other election officers ,shall be such as are selected by the City Council of the City of Azusa and that said polling places and precincts shall be consolidated. in such manner as shall be determined by the City Council of the City of Azusa. SECTION 6. That the questions submitted shall be: a. Shall JOE A. HERNANDEZ be recalled from the office of member of the City Council of the City of Azusa, California? b. Shall KARL J. JONES be recalled from the office of member of the City Council of the City of Azusa, California? c. 31- 411 ARTHUR Z. State of California creation and 7 establishing civil service system for the selection, employment, 8 classification, advancement, suspension, discharge and 9 retirement of appointive officers and emp&ogees of the City 10 of Azusa, California. 11 SECTION q. It is further.resolved that the.
