RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, DE_
TERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING
RATE OF PER DIEM WAGE AND THE GENERAL
PREVAILING RATE FOR LEGAL HOLIDAY AND
OVERTIME WORK IN THE CITY OF AZUSA
FOR CERTAIN CRAFTS OR TYPES OF WORKMEN
WHEREAS, this City Council has ordered certain street
work or improvement, said work or improvement being more parti-
cularly described in its Resolution No. 2665 adopted by this
City Council on July 28, 1952; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has ascertained the gen-
eral prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which
said work is to be performed for each craft or type of workman
needed to execute the contract for said work, and this City
Council has ascertained the general prevailing rate for legal
holiday and overtime work in said locality for each craft or
type of workman needed to execute said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, the.City Council of the City of
Azusa, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
as follows:
Section 1. That the general prevailing rate of per
diem wages in the locality in which said work is to be per-
formed for each craft or type of workman needed to execute
the contract for said work is determined to be as follows,
to wit:

Any classification omitted herein,
not less than 1.94 15.52
FOREMEN: All foremen in the Carpenter, Cement
Mason, Laborer, Operating Engineer,
Ironworker, and Truck Driver classifi-
cation and not herein separately classi-
fied shall be paid not less than 17-1/2
cents per hour more than the hourly rate
of the highest classification over which .
he has supervision. All other foremen
not herein separately classified shall
be paid not less than 12-1/2 cents per
hour more than the journeyman rate for
the craft involved.
APPRENTICES: May be employed in conformity with
Section 1777.5 of the California Labor
Code.
The general prevailing rates for overtime work in
said locality for each craft or type of workman needed to
execute said contract is determined to be as follows:
CARPENTERS AND IRON WORKERS - Double time for
all overtime.
CEMENT MASONS - Time and one-half for the first
three hours after the regularly constituted
straight time shift, and all other overtime.

LABORERS, TRUCK DRIVERS AND OPERATING ENGINEERS -
Time and one-half except Sundays and holidays
which are double time.
ALL OTHER CRAFTS AND TYPES OF WORKMEN - Not less
than one and one-half (1-1/2) times said
prevailing hourly rate of wage.
Said rates are determined to be the general prevail-
ing rates for working time on Sundays and the following seven
legal holidays, to wit: New Year's Day, Decoration Day, Inde-
pendence Day, Labor Day, Armistice Day, Thanksgiving Day and
Christmas Day. If any of the above named holidays occur on
Sunday, the Monday next succeeding shall be considered a legal
holiday.

Section 2. Said general prevailing rates shall
be specified in the call for bids for said contract and in
the contract itself.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 15th day of
September, 1952.
