8 The City Council of the City. of,Azusa does"hereby ;resolve

10 Section 1.",Whereas,,the City Council of the Cityof
11 Azusa has heretofore'on many occasions requested the Department
12 s of Public Works, ;'State-Hi.ghwdy., Division, to'install- traffic
13 " control signals at the' nte�r�ections of San Gabriel,Averuue+,.
14 Virginia Avenue, Vernon Avemue, and Pasadena Avenue on`oot�ih
15Boulevard, in the City.'o°£ zusa,,and said Department.°have
16 indicated,. they might reconsider the "same, and the City'Council
17 " 'have indieated'th-e Cityts willingness to share in the' e.ost
18." thereof, and
19 Section 2. "Whereas, two'•pers.ens have been killed", one
20 on January 9, 1952; at the intersection of Angeleno Avenue and
21. Foothill "Boulevard ; and one on March 2;"1952;,at the intersection
22 of Pasadena Avemue,and Foothill Boulevard;. Ind, in. add'it'ion
25 thereto, it"appears that Pvarious,pther accidents have occurred
24 at said intersections and the,City Council feels that, in all

26 coitrol signals installed, said accidents would "not have occurred,
