A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZnSA,
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
CAUSE TO BE VACATED, CLOSED AND ABANDONED FOR PUBLIC STREET
PURPOSES A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 20 WITHIN
SAID CITY.

The City Council of the City of Azusa, Los Angeles County,
California, does resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience re-
quire and it is the intention of the City Council of said City
to order the following work or improvement to be done in said
City, to -wit: that the southerly portion of the alley in Block
20 within said City, to -wit: beginning at the northeasterly
corner of lot 39 in said block, thence southerly along the
westerly line of said alley twenty-five (25) feet more or less
to an intersection with the southwesterly prolongation of the
southeasterly line of lot 13 in said block, thence northeasterly
along said prolongation to the southwesterly corner of said lot
13, thence northerly along the easterly line of said alley to an
intersection with the easterly prolongation of the northerly
line of said lot 39, thence westerly to the point of beginning,
be vacated,closed and abandoned for public street, highway and
alley purposes.
Section 2. That the exterior boundaries of the lands to
be affected or benefited by said work or improvement, and to be
assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof, if any,
are as follows: the exterior boundary lines of said lots 39 and
13 in said Block 20.
Section 3: The Street Superintendent is hereby directed to
cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said con-
templated work or improvement, at not more than 300 feet in dis-
tance apart, but not less than 3 in all, notices of the passage

of this resolution. Said notices shall be headed "NOTICE OF
PUBLIC CORK" in letters not less than one inch in length, shall
be in legible characters, state the fact of passage of this
resolution, its date, and briefly the work or improvement pro-
posed, and refer to this resolution for further particulars.
He shall also cause a notice, similar in substance, to be pub-
lished by four successive insertions in the Azusa Herald and
Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said
City (there being no daily newspaper published and circulated
therein).
Section 4. The Mayor pro tempore shall sign this resolu-
tion and the City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage
and adoption thereof.
Approved and adopted this 17th day of December, 1934.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Azusa, Los Angeles County, California, signed by
the Eayor pro tempore and attested by the City Clerk of
said City, all at a regular meeting of said Council held
on the 17th day of December, 1934, and that the same was
passed and adopted by the following vote:
