REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF 1,03'ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA TO SUPPLY FUNDS TO THE CITY OF AZUSA FOR THE PUR- POSE OF PAYING FOR MATERIALS AND TRUCK HIRE IN CONNECTION WITH THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN'STREETS'WITHIN THE CITY OF AZUSA. WHEREAS, there are certain streets within the City of Azusa which are urgently in need of repairs.and improvements and the City has no funds with which to•pay the -cost of purchas- ing materials and hiring of trucks therefor; and WHEREAS, the County of Los'Angeles receives a pro- portion of the gasoltrie,taxes collected by the State"of Calif- ornia for the purpose of constructing within said County NOW THEREFORE.BE.IT RESOLVED,.that the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles •,dounty b e; requested to 'supply 'the City of Azusa with funds in the amount of $15000.00 from said gasoline tax moneys.for the purpose of purchasing materials and hiring trucks to construct improvements upon the following streets, as follows 1. To resurface the existing macadam pavement 22 feet in width asphalt concrete and construct 6 -inch asphalt concrete shoulders 9.feet in width along each.side,of said pavement on AZUSA AVENUE from First Street to Broadway, excepting therefrom the approaches to the newly,constructed bridge across the Little Dalton Wash. 2. To grade and construct macadam pavement 9 feet wide along each side of the existing macadam pavement on FIFTH STREET from Cerritos AVENUE to Virginia Avenue. 3. To grade and construct macadam pavement -9 feet in width along each side of the existing pavement on SIXTH•STREET from Angeleno AVENUE to Cerritos Avenue. 4. To grade and construct macadam pavement 9 feet in width along each side of the existing macadam pave- ment on TENTH STREET from Azusa Avenue to the easterly termination of said Tenth Street. 5. To grade and construct macadam pavement 16 feet in width along each side of the existing macadam pave- ment on ANGELENO AVENUE from the northerly line of . the Santa Fe Railway Company tracks to Eleventh Street. 6. To grade and construct macadam pavement 16 feet in width along each side of the existing macadam pave- ment on SUNSET AVENUE from Crescent Drive to Eleventh Street. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,. that the City Clerk of the City of Azusa is hereby instructed .and authorized to''forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, California.
