RESOLUTION NO- 2*2-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
CALIFORNIA, CALLING A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN
SAID CITY ON THE 9TH DAY OF APRIL, 1934; AND GIVING A GENERAL
DESCRIPTION OF THE VOTING PRECINCT AND LOCATION OF THE POLLING
PLACE; FIXING THE TIME THE POLLS SHALL BE OPEN; APPOINTING THE
ELECTION OFFICERS THEREFOR AND DIRECTING NOTICE TO BE GIVEN AT
SUCH ELECTION AS REQUIRED BY LAW, -AND SUBMITTING THE QUESTION OF
COMPENSATING MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows: -
Section 1. That there be held in the City
.of Azusa, California, on Monday the 9th day
of April, 19342 a general municipal election
by the qualified electors of said City of
Azusa for the purpose of electing the follow-
ing City Officers to -wit: -
Three members of the City Council for
a full term of four years each.
Section 2., Be it further resolved that at
such election the following question be sub-
mitted to the qualified electors of said
City, to -wit: -
Shall each member of the Common
Council of the City of Azusa, Cal-
ifornia, receive the sum of $ 5.00
for each-regular'meet�.ng.atteEffeT
tleetings`limited:to. two. regular meetings
per month. ,
Section 3. Be it further resolved that the
number of voting precincts for the purpose
of holding said election shall be one, to
be known as Consolidated Election Precinct
A and said Consolidated Election Precinct A
shall consist of the entire City of Azusa,
.being Azusa City Precincts Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4,_(
and.6 of the regular State and County Eleo-
tion°and the polling place for said Con-
solidated Election Precinct A is hereby
located in the Auditorium of the new City
Hall in Block 30 of, said City of Azusa,
California, between Alameda Avenue and
Dalton Avenue.

Section 4. That the Board of Election for
such Consolidated Election Preoinot Tl is here-
by appointed as follows: -
Inspector: Joseph C. Muehe
Judges: Elmer L. Jones
Mrs Gladys Hendrick
Clerks: Mrc LYdia H. Jester
, RyAratt T... Ovhorn
Section 5. That the polls of said election
must be opened at 6 o!clock A. M. of the data
of election and must'be kept open until 7 o'clock
P. Me of said day# when the polls shall be closed
except and provided however that if at the hour
o8 closing there are any other voters in the
polling place or in line at the door who are
qualified to vote and have not been able to do
so since their appearing.* the polls shall be
kept open a sufficient time to enable them to
vote.
Section 6. That the above named persons on
said Board of election are hereby appointed to
such offices respectively# and their oompeasa-
tion shall be $10,Op each# for all ser-.
vices.
Section 7. That notice of this election and
list of nominees and the question of compensa-
tion for the members of the City Council shall
be published by the City Clerk as required by
law in the Azusa Herald & Pomotropic.
Section Be That the City Clerk shall certify
to the passage of this Resolution and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolu-
tion was duly adbpted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at
a regular meeting held March 5th., 1934j, by the following vote of
