RESOLUTION RECITING FACTS OF HEAR-
ING; OVERRULING ALL PROTESTS AND
OBJECTIONS; AND FINDING PETITION
FOR ELECTION SUFFICIENT.
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed by Resolution of
Intention No. 1378 adopted on February 5, 1934, the city
council of the City of Azusa met to hear any protests or
objections against the acquisition or construction of the
proposed sewer works as described in said resolution and
the -issuance and sale of revenue bonds therefor as set
forth in said resolution; and
WHEREAS, the affidavit of publication showing that
said resolution was published twice in the newspaper desig-
nated in said resolution and that said publication was
completed at least ten days before the date of this hear-
ing, and an affidavit showing that the notice of sewer
work was posted as required by said resolution and by law,
have been filed with the clerk of this city council; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place set for hearing this
city council proceeded to hear all persons or their repre-
sentatives having any objections to the acquisition or
construction of thesewer works as proposed or to the is-
suance and sale of revenue bonds therefor and any sugges-
tions offered in the way of an amendment or modification
of the plan of works or the boundaries of the district or
the bonds proposed to be issued; and
WHEREAS, certain written protests and objections have
been filed and certain protests and objections have been
made orally; and
WHEREAS, the written protests or objections are signed
by less than one-half the owners of improved real property
in the district which would be served by the proposed works
as such owners are shown on the records of the assessor
and the tax collector for the city and district; and
WHEREAS, a petition signed by fifteen per cent of such
owners has been filed with this city council requesting
the city council to submit.the proposition of acquiring or
constructing the proposed works to an election of property
owners in the district which would be served by such works;
and
WHEREAS, witnesses have been called and sworn and evi-
dence taken showing the necessity and usefulness of the
proposed works and that all lands within the district can
be served by the proposed works, and evidence has been taken
upon all matters upon which evidence is required by law; and
WHEREAS, the hearing in said matter was duly continued
to February 27,.1934'at--7:30 o'clock P.M. and at said time
the hearing was resumed and the city council is now fully
informed in the premises:
NOW, THEREFORY,� the city council of the City of Azusa
does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the hearing in this matter is now
completed. That all protests and objections, both oral and

written, are hereby overruled and denied. It is hereby
found and determined that the written protests or objec-
tions filed are signed by less than one-half the owners
of improved real property in the district which would be
served by the proposed works as such owners are shown on.
the records of the assessor and the tax collector for the
City of Azusa... It is further found and determined that a
petition signed by fifteen per cent or more of such owners
has been filed with this city council requesting this city
council to submit the proposition of acquiring or construct -
Ing the proposed works to an election of property owners in
the district which would be served by the proposed works.
Section 2. That the works described in said Resolu-
tion of Intention No. 1378 are necessary, useful and con-
venient for the collection, treatment, purification and
disposal of sewage of that part of said city lying within
the boundaries of the district described in said Resolution
of Intention.
Section 3. That the city attorney of the City of
Azusa is hereby directed to prepare proceedings for the sub-
mission to the qualified owners of improved real property
within said district of the proposition of acquiring or
constructing the proposed works, said proposition to be
submitted at an election to be called by this city council
for that purpose.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 27th day of Febru-
ary, 1934.
