HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1291RESOLUTION TIO. 1291 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THF CITY OF AZUSA,, CALIFORNIA; DECLARTNG THT; RESULT OF'THE OFF OCTAL COUNT AND CANVASS OF THE VOTES OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HrLD TN THE SAID CITY ON April. 11, 1932. dam' The City Council of the City of Azusa do resolve as follows: WHEREAS,, a General Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California, on Monday, the 11th day of April, 1932 as required by law; and 14 3(' WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was duly and legally given and that there was one voting precinct established for holding said election, consisting of consolidation of regular City Precincts for holding State and County elections, as the same were established by the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County on the 29th day of December, 1925, and now being on record in Bonk R7 -A of the minutes of the said Board of Supprivsors; that election officers ... ere appointed and election supplies furnished, and that in all resn_ects said election was held and conducted and the returns thereof made and declared, in time, form and mannor as required by the General Laws of the State of Calif- ornia governing elections in Cities of the fifth and sixth classes; and 1^1HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa met at the Cnuncil Chamber of said Council on M nday the 1Rth 2,, day of April, 1932; to canvass the returns of said election and install the newly elected officers. whereupon the s•,id Council found that the num'er of votes cast, the names of the persons voted for, the resul.t of said election and other matter required by law, to be as hereinafter stated, NOW THEREFORE ---- IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND DECLARED AS FOLLOIGIS: That said regular Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of Azusa, California, on M nday the 11th day of April, 197-2; in time, form and manner as required by law That there was one voting precinct established for the purpose of holding said election, consisting of a con- solidation of the regular election precincts established for holding general State and County elections as follows: That the whole number of votes cast in said City of Azusa at said election was 1094 and four additional absentee V' ballots, making a total of 1098. 1132 \ li yf 1 That the names of the nersons voted for, tre of- fices for w'lich they were voted, the number of votes w?iich they received in the entire City of Azusa are as follows: NAMES OF PERSONS OFFICE VOTED FOR: VOTED PRECINCT ABSENT CONSOLIDATED VOTERS VOTING PPECINCT BALT,OT It A" D. AND BE IT PURTNE:R RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to each of such persons so elected a Certificate of Election signed by her and duly authenticated: that she shall also inpose the constitutional oath of office upon said personsso elected as Membersof the City Council of said City, City Clerk, and City Treasurer and shall have them subscribe tbpreto.and file the same in her office; thereupon, each and all of said nersons so elected to said respective offices shall be inducted into said resnective office to vahich they have been elected. The City Council of the City of Azusa do resolve as follows: BE IT RESOLVED that the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) be and the same is hereby transfered from the Light Fund to the General Fund. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting, held on the 4th day of April, 1932, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson. CALIFORNIAs AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY AND THE CLERK THEREOF TO DRAW WARRANT FOR THE PURCHASE PRICE OF SAID LOT. as follows: - The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve WHEREAS it is necessary for the City of Azusa to purchase the hereinafter described premises from the hereinafter named parties at the purchase price hereinafter set forth: - THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Azusa, subject to the hereinafter named conditions} accept a Grant Deed from JOSEPH R. H. DALTON and TRINIDAD M.
