HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1283RESOLUTION NO. /.ZQ3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE FOR AT LEAST TEN DAYS, OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE REPORT AND RECOMMENDA- TION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF AZUSA RECOMMENDING AN AMENDMENT OF ORDINANCE NO. 294 AND/OR OF THE "ZONE MAP" ATTACHED TO SAID ORDINANCE. WHEREAS application has heretofore been duly made to the City Planning Commission of the City of Azusa by The Azusa Improvement Company, the owner of the following described property lying North of Paramount Avenue extended and East of Piedmont Avenue, within the City of Azusa, said property being more particularly described as, also The West 7 acres of the South One -Half of Lot 47; the !;rest 5 acres of the North One -Half of Lot 47; The East 8 acres of the West 15 acres of the South One -Half of Lot 47; all of the above being in Subdivision Pio. 2, Azusa Land & Water Company, City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, as per Map recorded in Book 43, Page 94 of Miscellaneous Records; The South 22.59 acres more or less of Lot 29, Subdivision No. 21 Azusa Land & Water Company, in the City of Azusa, Los Angeles County, State of California; petitioning that such action be taken by the City of Azusa and the City Council and the City Planning Commission thereof, as will classify and designate the above described property as constituting a Zone M-3 Heavy Industrial District as the same is defined in Section 7 of the Zoning Ordinance above mentioned, and WHEREAS the City Planning Commission has duly considered said Petition and has filed a Report and recommends - tion recommending that the said Petition be granted, and - 1 - • • 0 0 WHrREAS the City Council finds that public hearing; on such proposed action should be had and that notice of such -ublic hearing be published for a neriod o" ten days: THEREFORE BE IT RL3OLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and airected to publish Notice of ?Tearing of the above matter for a period of ten days in the Azusa Herald, a weekly newspaper published in the City of Azusa by one insertion in each of two consecutive issues of said newspaper commencing Priday March 7, 1972, said Notice to state that obiections to such proposed amendment of said Ordinance and/or of said Zone Map will be heard by the City Council at the City Hall on Monday March 14th, 1932, at 7:70 P. M., if any objections there be,.,,hi(-,b date the City Council hereby fixes as a date for the hearing nn said Petition and Recommendation and the determination of the issues thereof. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolu- tion was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a special meeting duly and legally held on February 29th, 1932, at the regular Council Chambers in said City of Azusa by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Mace, Johnson, Williams, hiuehe, Meier. Y RESOLUTION NO.1282 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, CALLING A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON THE 11th DAY OF APRIL, 1932, GIVING A GENERAL Dc:SCRIPTION OF THE VOTING PRECINCT AND LOCATION OF THE POLLING DLACE, APPOINTING THE ELECTION OFFICERS THEREFORE AND DIRECTING NOTICE TO BE GIVEN OF SUCH ELECTION AS RFQUIRED BY LA"'. The City Council of the City of Azusa do resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That there shall be held in the City of Azusa on Monday, the 11th day of April, 1932, a general municipal election by the qualified electors of the said City of Azusa, for the purpose of electing the following city officers, to -wit: Two members of the City Council for four (4) year term. One City Treasurer for four (4) ,year term. One City Clerk for four, (4) year term. SECTION 2: That the number of voting precincts for the purpose of holding said election shall be one (1), to be known as Consolidated Election Precinct "A", and said Consolidated Election Precinct "A" shall consist of the entire City of Azusa, being Azusa City Precincts numbers 19 29 3, 4 and 5 of the regular State and County election, and the polling place for said Consolidated Election Precinct "A", is hereby located in the "uditorium of the New City Hall on Block 30, in said City of Azusa, California between Alameda Avenue and Dalton Avenue. That the Board of Election for such Consolidated Election Precinct "A", is hereby appointed as follows: Inspector: William 0. Streshly Judges: Virginia Hertpnstein Tilbur C. Braley Clerks: T:iarie Psttv.Jo$n Jack I. McGachan SECTION 3: That the polls of said el-ection must be opened at six o'clock A. M. of the same day of the election and must be kept open until seven o'clock P. M. of the same day when the polls shall be closed; except and provided, however, that if, at the hour of closing there are any other voters in the polling place or in line at the door who are qualified to vote and have not been able to do so since their appearing, the polls shall be kept open a sufficient time to enable them to vote. That the above named persons on said Board of Election are hereby appointed to such offices respectively and their compensation shall be Ten (810.00) Dollars, each, for all services. SECTION 4. That notice of said election and list of nominees shall be published by the City Clerk as required by law. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting held February 17, 1932, by the follow- ing vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Mace, Williams, Muehe, Meier.
